    My personal slice of heaven

Nice setup, and nice job on the VW...love the windshield! Are you rolling it like that, or is it still a work in progress? I've been tempted to build one like that myself, but I think I'm more apt to find a truck to match the windshield these days.

    Why 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", etc.

Hmmm...remind me again why I had to buy Metric tools to work on my old VWs... :headscrat

    Fabrication section

You wait. And wait. I suggested a board last year, one dedicated to garage storage solutions, which received response from members similar to this one. There are a few other things that have been requested, but no visible action taken. Last July(ish), Ryan mentioned his "GarageJournal month"...

Could probably call this everyone's favorite build thread though!

    My small garage...

All I've seen in Rona and Home Depot, etc (on Vancouver Island) was the automotive floor epoxy, which I believe is waterbased. :-/

new digs, new garage - suggestions?

Once you have possession, you'll need to do a load calculation for your house, and check the size of your main power panel. If you've only got a 100 amp service, your options may be limited, but if you've got 200 amps you will probably be ok. Next, you'll want to check how the current current...

new digs, new garage - suggestions?

I would prioritize like this: 1. Power - You're going to want better lighting and access to electrical outlets if you plan on doing any wrenching out there. How many other things are on the same circuit right now? You may need to consider a dedicated circuit from the house and a subpanel in...

    New Garage Stuff For Christmas?

I have to go shopping this weekend for a couple things that were missed...but... Wife got me a 13" Colour TV, a funky tin sign (Free Beer...Tomorrow!) and a mounted hotrod poster that my 7 yr old daughter picked out for me.

Will 30K get me a decent shop?

A lot of it will vary based on your area, type of construction you go with, and how much you do yourself. I built a 30' x 30' stick framed garage, fully finished interior over the past year, and it cost me $25,000 Canadian. Most of that was materials, as I did 99% of the labour.

    Inside garage Facade?

If you go through the garage gallery, you'll find some along those lines. I'm afraid I don't recall the specific threads, though. How high is your ceiling?

Hello from Wisconsin - pic of my "shed" included

Yup Yup! My garage looks a helluva lot better (fancier, well appointed) than if it would have without this site being a bad influence on me.

    My measly little space...

There are probably a few indicators on the lid to help narrow down it's vintage. Did it still have the spring attached? Pity about the car being so far gone - that's too often the case these days. I'd love to see those photos, but the link doesn't seem to work for me.
