snap on flex ratchet question (loose)

I guess I need to take a closer look at it this weekend to make a decision. I guess I just wasn't sure if SO would consider the ratchet broken simply because it was loose. Y'know?

snap on flex ratchet question (loose)

first off, thanks to everyone for the help... As far as repair vs. replace, Im on the fence... It was my father in law's who recently passed, and so there is a bit of sentimental feelings about replacing, however new tools are good too.... And I have plenty of other tools to remember him...

snap on flex ratchet question (loose)

All- I inherited some tools recently, one of which was a snap on 3/8 flex head ratchet which I was intending to use as a primary flex ratchet replacing my craftsman one. However... The Snap on's flex is 'floppy'... the head just flops around, so much so, that I dont know that it would be...

    tyvek for ceiling?

I'll try to snap some pics this weekend... The Tyvek was $60 for a 3ft x 165ft roll. Plus staples (cheap) and then I bought Tyvek tape which was $11 for a 165ft roll (expensive)... but in hindsight, Im fairly confident its just 'pretty' packaging tape.. so if I need more, I'll probably go...

window covering if security grates are installed?

although I guess you might be able to spray it through the grate if it isnt removable.

window covering if security grates are installed?

for under $5 you can get "frosting" spraypaint. Still lets a ton of light in, but cant bee seen through.. usually used for bathrooms... You would have to remove the grate first, spray, then reapply the grate... but but better suited than mini-blinds or curtains that will hold onto dust, dirt...

    tyvek for ceiling?

well, I just tackled half of my garage ceiling using tyvek. Since most of my projects are done by myself, I found that a second person might have allowed a better final appearance, but the functionality doesnt seem to be affected by my struggles. The look isnt all that pretty, but then...

Anyone know of stencils for 'imports' and parts companies?

    tyvek for ceiling?

Just to clarify, while the weight of drywall is a slight concern, the convenience and cost are the main reasons I am considering this... Im fairly confident that the structure 'could' handle the added weight of drywall, I would prefer to hang something else... (tired of drywalling)

    tyvek for ceiling?

Thanks to all for the insight. The flamability is something I hadnt considered. So I will have to think about that a bit, but I dont think that I am too worried... I dont do much welding or grinding, so I doubt that sparks or flames would be much of an issue.. and if I found that I did, I...

    tyvek for ceiling?

Hey all... I was wondering if anyone has used Tyvek (or similar) as their main form of ceiling material. Here is my thought... I have an old garage with 2x6 joists that comprise the upper level of storage area. I floored that area with plywood years ago, and now I am beginning to use typical...

Thought I was the only crazy one.

Missed the last question. Not rotaries (though fairly familiar with them) all of my experience comes from OHC EFI cars.

Yep. Quarters have been replaced. Confused the heck out me at first too. Holding a title that 'says' 68. But looked like a 67.

Thought I was the only crazy one.

Oh, and as far as the 68, thanks. That is a project I inherited with the passing of my father in law. I'm very excited to do the build on it, though I have no experience with Detroit iron. The prospect of learning how to do a resto, and build a pushrod engine is very interesting to me. Lots...

Thanks all. My space is fully functional if not all that pretty to look at. But. As they say, Rome wasn't built in a day. :)
