Quikrete Epoxy - anyone used it?

Has anyone else used this product? A guy down the street just put this on a month or so ago and it looks great. I watched him drag a 200 lb. welder across the floor, no scratches. He parks a backhoe and a pickup on it most every night, no problems. I am just wondering what it will be like...

    cracks forming in drywall

I agree. Really looks like the mud didn't set up properly. The only other thing that comes to mind. Did he glue and screw the drywall? I have seen it pop like that, but to pop on every long seam, it almost has to be a mud problem.

Splicing into a 240 Volt Circuit...?

It is not "just fine" to splice into the circuit. It has been explained above, more than once... In the end, it is your house/garage.

    Toughest Side Cutters

Hands down, get Klein's. I have the same pair of linesman's pliers I bought when I was 14 (some 23 years ago or so). I have bought new Klein's but don't quite like them as much as the older ones. They are still the number one brand for electrician's. On a side note, if anyone has any old...

Splicing into a 240 Volt Circuit...?

You can not tap into that line and run your compressor. First of all, it is on a 60 amp breaker. If you are running your compressor off of this line, you will not be fused properly. Is there no way to put a smaller service out into the garage? It scares the hell out of me everytime I see...

    Unistruts for shelving

There are different grades of uni-strut. There are also a bunch of different materials it is made of, everything from aluminum to stainless. If you have the strut already, post what manufacturer, material and grade it is. Just a side note, most uni-strut only comes in 10' lengths. Are you...

    Drywall Screws-Fine or Course Thread?

If you are going to be hanging that much drywall, do yourself a favor. Go buy a drywall screwgun. They can be had for $90 for a good one at Lowes. The bits that supposedly let you set the screw depth are junk. This is one of those cases where using the right tool will save you alot of time...

    slab

Kapt, What part of Maryland are you in. The advice these guys have given you is great. However, in certain parts of MD, depending on soil type, you may not need to go that heavy. While the vapor barrier is a must, the amount of stone may not need to be as much. Your best bet would be to...

    My new building.

The building is 30' x 40' x 10'6", 2 - 9' x 8' doors, 1 personnel door, 4 windows and a cupola. The price on the building was roughly $14,000, this does not include concrete. A friend of mine has a concrete business and that will be done in a few weeks. I am an electrician, so I will handle...

    My new building.

My material was delivered on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. The crew was supposed to start but rain hampered them even coming onsite. My new start date was to be Friday the 10th. The crew called me on Thursday, the site where they were scheduled to be working was too wet. They started at...

    New Member from Maryland

I have been lurking these boards for about a week now. There are some really great ideas and some very informative people here. Construction on my 30' x 40' pole building is supposed to commence in about 2 weeks. Thus far, I have unrooted 2 80' pine trees, moved an existing shed, cut away the...
