    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

I would rather have Carlyle, BUT if HF is cheaper than Napa quarterly sales flyer pricing (say 20+ percent) then I may go back to old faithful HF. Oh and some Carlyle pern to get this thread back on topic:

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

I was basing my presumption on this thread: https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405597 And have based most of my Carlyle purchases on their more “unique” offerings so far. I’d like to upgrade some of my home tools and having the ability to purchase matching tools or warranty...

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

With all of this talk of warranty and Carlyle, and the rumors that Harbor Freight’s “Icon” line may be from the same OEM, is anyone holding out for Icon as well or shall we keep purchasing Carlyle. I really want to try their metric 3/8 set, but if Icon is cheaper and easier to warranty...

Believe it or not, that ad doesn’t do them justice. Sorry for bad lighting. It was also foggy in the garage.

    Carlyle Tool Deals - Q1 2019

https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NPT610331?ref=MTY= Picked these up as they are a better price than HF right now. Very high quality feel to them. I was expecting cheap and rough but these are totally a well machined and finished product.

    Carlyle Tool Deals - Q1 2019

I ordered the ratchet Monday and it came to my local store Thursday. I believe with patience this is no problem as he good store associates know the corporate number to call and track anything. FWIW, the store I use (due to work location) is in a very bad part of town and I think they are...

    Carlyle Tool Deals - Q1 2019

Picked up the 24” long 1/2 Ratchet. It’s a beautiful (big) piece of chrome and the grip is kinda stiff compared to a snap on (May soften after use). For what I want to use it as (break free with breaker bar then work it out with this beast) it should be perfect and well worth the $50 I have in...

    Show off your.... Carlyle Tools!!!

Ordered the $40 24” long 46(?) tooth 1/2” ratchet yesterday. Patiently waiting for it to hit the store. I’ll post a pic of it and my current Carlyle collection. I may grab the $20 screwdriver set and the wiring pliers set when I pick the ratchet up. How are the socket holding up long term?

    Let's see your toolbox.

I would love to see how you have the drawers laid out sometime if you have time.

    Let's see your toolbox.

Is that going to be stationary or more of a “roll cart?” Im very intrigued on the idea of slapping a good surface on one and using it as a roll cart at home. :)

    Carlyle Tool Deals - Q1 2019

https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/CHQR12XL48 Does anyone have experience with this ratchet or any of their 1/2in with 48 tooth design? At 24 inches long this may be perfect for what I need.

HF going after pro-tools now with ICON line.

I gave my local HF store manager my card and told him to give me a call when the wrenches, sockets, or ratchets came in. I’ve been following in Mechanicnamedjohn’s footsteps for the most part and the new Icon line seems right up my alley.

What is the best plasma cutter to get?

Another vote for Hypertherm. Powermax 35 here. The dual voltage is nice.

    Husky Black Friday intel?

I would base the decision on if you ever plan on adding a top or side accessories. I really like the Huskys’ for work bench builds, but I have not played with a Yukon to compare (none on display at my harbor freight)
