What's the best practice to prolong the life of Li-ion batteries?

Has anyone mentioned batteries could be considered a "consumable"? Lol I mean, they're something you use which has a finite number of reuses. So it seems to fit that definition. When your roll of duct tape runs out you get a new one. Sure, you can make more precise cuts and try to baby the...

What are the chances of Makita, Dewalt, Milwaukee going with a new battery design?

If they can a sell a whole new line of tools to consumers that's incentive enough for a new battery interface. Forget silly technical things like volts and amp-hours.

    Hand Files

Pferd and Grobet are nice. Made in Germany and Switzerland. But if you were unwilling to pay for a new Craftsman file after using the old one I doubt you'll like the price of European craftsmanship. Also, good luck finding a "lifetime" warranty on high quality European tools.

Intermixing Metric and SAE Sizes in Tool Storage

This seems like a bad idea. People have been working with both SAE and metric equipment long enough that if mixing was a good idea someone would have done it by now. Some familiarity with the item being worked on can often eliminate one standard or the other.

Re: ★★★ voice your opinion on the hot deals forum ★★★ The amount of off topic, "bought one", "you ****", etc. posts make the thread length unwieldy and not at all user friendly for people here to share and scan hot deals. Want to discuss, start a thread somewhere appropriate. Want to thank a...

Which cordless set? Rigid vs Milwaukee

Never had an issue with an M18 battery in almost a decade. So if you never need " batteries for life" or whatever they call it with Milwaukee then all you've gotten yourself with Ridgid is TTI's inferior homeowner grade lineup. Also, pretty sure that supply of free battery packs will dry up as...

Thoughts on the Milwaukee M18 & Ryobi jigsaw?

I have the M18. Not the best, but built better than a Ryobi. I think M18 owner's hold their tools to a higher standard when riewung them, that may explain why a "better" tool has relatively inferior reviews when comparing.
