    Huther Bros. Co.

Cleaning out the shop and I found two chippers to an old dado blade. Stamped "Huther Bros. Co, Rochester, NY". Never heard of them before, does anyone know anything about them? I assume they went out of business long ago. Without the rest of the set the chippers are useless, but I'm still...

Fein WSG 11-150 vs Milwaukee 2780

That's good to know Monte, I've never needed to use a brush so large before and hadn't considered a larger grinder for it... I'm still surprised the Fuel finished the job.

Fein WSG 11-150 vs Milwaukee 2780

They're the same age and get about the same use. Certainly didn't take it easy on either. I'd still get another Fein, in fact I already ordered a replacement Fein. I was impressed with the Fuel, too bad it eats batteries.

Fein WSG 11-150 vs Milwaukee 2780

I was using a 6" cup wheel on my Fein 11-150 and it let the smoke out within about 30 seconds. I reached for my M18 Fuel grinder since that was my only other option figuring two burnt out grinders is still cheaper than the minimum 1 hour lost labor purchasing a "more suitable" tool. To my...

New deeper Husky 46" at Home Depot

I got one. Its 21 ga steel, no hiding that. But reasonable well made given the inherent limitations of its parts. With a 10% off coupon it was $223.98, and for that price its just fine

    Best "Quality" cordless weed eater?

I have the Ryobi 40V and Echo 58V. The Ryobi was ok, but I upgraded to the Echo and haven't looked back. It may not be a great as the European Stihls and Husqvarnas, but it beats the hone owner grade ones for sure.

What's a Basic Set of US-Made Drywall Repair Tools?

As for sanding, if you take your time and blend your compound into to wall properly only a light hand sanding should be necessary... Anything more means you need to perfect your technique

What's a Basic Set of US-Made Drywall Repair Tools?

You're going to need knives, several of them of increasing sizes to build and blend your layers. As for tape, I prefer the mesh type. I wouldn't get too hung up on COO. Is this a hole patching job or a sheet hanging job? Necessary tools vary depending on application. More information will yield...

    ISO Craftsman receipt

The take away here should be that "life time warranty" should be treated as nothing more than a marketing gimmick, not a deciding factor in purchasing. It has nothing/little to do with "standing by" a product and everything to do with selling more of a product. Tell me I'm wrong.

Decent wet tile saw for kitchen backsplash

The 2.5 hp Harbor Freight saw that regularly goes on sale for $219 may be worth a look. https://m.harborfreight.com/10-in-25-hp-tilebrick-saw-69275.html?utm_referrer=direct%2Fnot%20provided They don't make much that's worth recommending, but this is.

    Pferd abrasives

I'm a big fan of Pferd files. I see they offer abrasives like flap discs and cut off wheels, but reviews are limited. Does anyone have experience with them?

    decent tools made in USA

I don't see any mention of Chapman MFG https://chapmanmfg.com/ and their tools. Made locally in Durham, CT. We also seem to be overlooing that while new USA tool purchases may support American manufacturing used USA tool purchases benefits no sector but resellers, pawn brokers, and auctioneers...
