The first time I heard the gun go off, I stopped and safety'd up. And a street sign won't stop a bullet zjrog, so better armor is needed. I use a much thicker plate and a face shield I made from 1/4 thick clear on mine. (once in the * CAUTION GRAPHIC * thread is enough for me).

I have tinnitus so I hate silence. I always always have music or talk radio playing in the garage. My wife complains about the volume so I use wireless headphones, but the battery in them requires recharging too often.

I keep three, each for different uses.

Definitely get that fixed! Don't do it yourself - get a door tech to do it. Short pay the rockers by the amount it costs you. And personally, the rock job job they did looks sub standard even for a garage. :willy_nil

Just start them from the other side. They will function backwards though. OFF=ON, ON=OFF but you'll get used to it. Physics is very forgiving.

I did much the same thing often to fax spammers. I'd make 10 copies of black pages, then make a loop with tape. Set it for send, sometimes doing it several times a day. The new machine here doesn't do loops, so sending 100 faxes of black pages was my fun for the day.
