Has anyone ever considered a tool swap thread?

Sweet, I'll have to look through some of my tools to see what I can possibly trade:beer:

Buying individual tools: How do you organize things?

I honestly try to keep sets and keep them divided by brand, but if I can't its nothing that I lose sleep over. However my dad has collected various tools and lost parts of sets over the past however many years, and now has VERY mixed sets of everything, but he doesn't care.

    Pawn store

Yep, thats pretty much how I feel as well. For all I really know, its not stolen anyways.. My only issue with pawn shops is that when I do find good deals, I can't pass them up. Last vacation I found two idencital 1/2 sk sets in cases and paid $20 for one set, and $15 for the other, when I knew...

    Pawn store

I have had some great pawn shop finds, but usually when its somewhere away from where I live. I guess its hit or miss with those places, for me yardsales and fleamarkets are much worse.

What to do about bad wheel on my Snappy box?

The sticker on the side says 2005, so its not too terribly old. I've just got to find a snap on guy, cause I don't have one where I am now.

What to do about bad wheel on my Snappy box?

Yep, I will be living with a busted wheel:wtf: No, I actually bought the box off of a friend of my dads...so I doubt if I would still be able to do anything about it. I don't even know how it happened, its not like its overloaded or anything, and it wasn't bad when I bought it either.

    Craftsman Closeouts at Harry Epstein

:lol_hitti I hate those things, my dad has a set that one of his customers gave to him for Christmas one year...they don't work for anything.

What to do about bad wheel on my Snappy box?

I have a snap on KRL series box, with those wheels with fancy springs on them and everything. The other day I moved it somewhere and noticed that one of the wheels is broken, its popping and moving from side to side, I assume that the bearings are bad. However, I no longer work at a shop where...

Thought somebody might appreciate this (chinese tool content)

No, I guess there was already some pre-existing flaw. I'm relaly not even that strong, I am 6'2 and 160lbs..not much room for muscle. My bad, wrench was made in India..not China.

    Sears return policy?

Yeah, I wasn't sure..I might just hold off until I have to swing that way. I had just been talking to a friend of mine and he said he was going to try and return some stuff that he wasn't happy with, and I wondered if I was going to be able to do the same. We'll see I suppose.

Thought somebody might appreciate this (chinese tool content)

Well, I've had one of those little carry around tool kits that someone gave me a looong while back that I keep in one of my cars. Today while I was somewhere I got them out to fiddle with something and I struck the wrench with my palm..and this is what happened. :lol_hitti

    Sears return policy?

Before I make a trip out to my local sears, I was wondering if they would take back tools I bought a while back. I have a set of those gawd aweful craftsman brand gear wrenches, that feel like they have rocks for the ratcheting mechanism. I do have all original packaging and a receipt for them...

Garage sale/ flea market/ pawn shop finds

That deffinately counts, thats awesome! I can't bring myself to sell any good tool, or pass up any good deal on one. I currently have 6 complete sets of SAE 1/2 drive sockets, two sets are SK's I picked up randomly, a set of craftsmans I bought new, a set of new snap ons, an older set of snap...

1in drive? thats heavy! I love Williams stuff, I have several more wrenches from them, they are very good quality and nobody knows what they are, so I can pick the stuff up super cheap.

Garage sale/ flea market/ pawn shop finds

Sorry, I just wanted to share my presents to myself with everyone. While out of town this past weekend I dropped by some places since we really don't have any good flea markets or anything around here. I picked up the smallest of the Williams wrenches at a yardsale for $2, and found the...
