    Gladiator workbench questions????

Never thought about it until Matty D mentioned it but if the bench is going to stay up against that wall, you could cut the bottoms of the back legs off, and restthe legs on the concrete cap. Additionally, you could get plastic inserts to go into square tubing to add leveler feet to make it...

    Gladiator workbench questions????

I don't have any of the Garageworks stuff but I've definitely drooled over it. Have you considered purchasing the power strip to use as a back strip. Then maybe use a painted 4x4 or something between the table and the wall to bridge the gap...

    Air Tank Specifications

From a local Craigslist add: http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/mat/2852902209.html "air compressor tank 4' tall 20" diameter circumferance[sic] is much bigger than the 20" diameter" I'd reckon it's about 3.14159 times bigger than the diameter... give or take. ;) -Matt

    Craftsman Pressor Wheel Upgrade

Charles, I kinda like the suped up look! Haha, as I said "I still need to paint the welded parts and raise the feet in the front." I didn't really mention the reason but your description of the splash oiling system is spot on, and should provide others with a good bit o' learnin'. Thanks...

    Craftsman Pressor Wheel Upgrade

I like the idea of adding a hitch. I've got a John Deere 455 that would tow it nicely. I'm going to build a basket on the back of the 455 to put my 15 gal weed sprayer in(when I use it). The basket would make it easy to transport my project supplies from the front to the back do the property. -Matt

need ideas on what to do with this piece of steel

You could possibly use it to make a homemade bending or press break. You'd need a couple more pieces but nothing too exotic. I could definitely use about 5' of it to redo part of my bending break. -Matt

    Craftsman Pressor Wheel Upgrade

Craftsman Compressor Wheel Upgrade Hi gents, I have a small craftsman air compressor that picked up off craigslist that I really have come to love. I used it to paint the inside of my house and frequently use it out back to work on all jobs. I like almost everything about it, it's a single...

    Harbour freight roll cart project?

Have you welded the base of the craftsman box back on the 6 drawer portion you cut out. That would be my first step. Then I would decide whether or not I want the corner sections of the HF box to extend all the way to the bottom portion of the 6 drawer box. If not just set the HF box on...

How can I make something like this out of wood?

I've not used these before but have a spot picked out for a few in my garage where my attic ladder sits. When I get the time to get around to it I am going to make a table that folds down with them. http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?page=10227&Max=999 -Matt

    Disc Sander

Re: Disk Sander I own the same model and use it all the time. You don't by any means have to baby it, but you can bog the motor down if you try hard enough. Get good quality coarse grade discs if you are working with metal.

    Custom Miter Saw Workbenches

I just saw this one today and thought it was brilliant. I am going to look into building one out of steel for my 12" disc sander and 14" Milwaukee Cold Cut Chop Saw. Hidden Miter Saw -Matt

corrugated roof panels for interior walls?

It's a little off topic but I love the design inside of Chipotle. The table tops are cool. They are 2 pieces of plywood with stainless laminated on top. The light fixtures are just conduit hanging from the ceiling with octagon boxes and a basic lamp holder. The corrugated metal on their walls...

    Iphone 4s in metal shops?

I swapped out two iphone 4s' thus far for call volume issues as well. After a month or so I couldn't hear a thing out of the earpiece; I have no idea why it happened but suspected something with the bluetooth system in my truck. I could be completely wrong and metal dust in the phone could...

    Who really wants my business?

Keep in mind, Stanley Vidmar just purchased Lista; I'm not sure how that affects both product lines. Perhaps Linda may be able provide some feedback (or there might be info on this site or other about the aquisition and changes, I haven't looked). It would be good to have as much information...

    Outdoor Accent/Landscape Lighting

I use the same system as Jeff. I like the system and believe it is available from HD, it allows you to customize the duration that the lighting stays on, and it automatically turns it on at dusk. My system has a sensor that is moveable, but for my application the sensor just sits on top of...

Not Too Impressed With The Finish Of My New HF Cart

I also own one and am pleased with the quality, I did not experience any of the defects you mentioned. In my opinion feels sturdy to me when it's all together and I like the drawer locks. The only gripe I have is that I wish the locks were all on the same side. Matt
