    Wrench Holders

I like the oem tools 35 wrench rail. Only downside is your smallest wrenches do not fit great, we are talking about small. I have multiple sets on each rail. One for mm and one for sae. You can even cut them down to make multiple sets..

Curious, what pro mechanic tool brands are used in other countries?

It is just a curiosity but watching some tv shows about cars from UK the tools look a bit different from the standard Snap on, Mac and Matco tools we see here

Why Didn't Anybody Tell me This?

+1!!! drain oil, filter off with filter pliers that have teeth, oil on gasket of new filter and tighten to 1/2 turn past first touch, plug in at 18-20 ft/lbs (this is one of the few things I torque on a car) then add oil. Not rocket science.

    3/8 drive T70

If this doesn’t have to do with a space constraint and it’s just that you prefer to use 3/8 then why not just get this adapter: https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMAN-3-8-in-to-1-2-in-Socket-Adapter/1000596163 I have two 3/4 inch drive sockets that i have a 1/2 to 3/4 adapter i use with them as...

    Recommend me a keychain knife

I’ve had both sized sog microns on my key chain. They have both been fantastic. Only problem is sharpening the tanto style. Luckily they are cheap enough you can replace them often.

New US General six drawer roll cart?

I saw one at the store recently, it definitely is a copy of the snap on even down to the latching mechanism. But when compared to other Harbor freight products I think they’re shooting high for this one. It is a lot of money for what you’re getting. I know it doesn’t mean anything but in my...

Advice on buying Shielding Gas for my Lincoln 175HD Mig Welder

Back when I had a tank I purchased it and as stated earlier when I needed more gas I would just take it in and they would swap it. Just like you do for a propane tank. All I would pay for was the new gas. When I sold that welder with the tank I just took into account how much I spent on the tank...

Need help deciding on a drill

Just think about your needs… I used the regular M 12 Milwaukee small drill for years and killed it before I switched out. I was then faced with which drill to purchase. I looked at all the various drills from Milwaukee because that’s the brand I decided on and came to the realization that I did...

The one thing i miss about craftsman/sears….

All the close napa stores to me are the run down pegboard stores.. they look like they’ve never been clean since the 1950s and the three tools they carry are usually behind the counter.

The one thing i miss about craftsman/sears….

Even though they’re not the best, I miss being able to walk into a store and just window shop or look at all the tools that are available for purchase. I would always wind up buying something but now there’s nowhere to go do this

    Tekton ratcheting box wrench set

Even though I like Tekton for a lot of what they make, I have these in the short version and a lot of times they are not usable. The problem is not so much in the six point design but the fact that they have such a weak detent in the flex head. The flex head never stays put. So in a tight space...

The what if…. Thread (may help out younger members)

Let’s just say for whatever reason you had to start over from scratch buying tools, how would you purchase them knowing what you know today. me personally I would probably start off with the following an add in as needed from there: nice used tool cart or small Snappy box the 3/8 master chrome...
