My new favorite tool accessory: Oxy/AcyeteleneTorch Minder

So I bartered some techno labor and router for an Oxy/Acyetelene torch setup complete with tanks, guages, torch, tips, goggles, gloves etc. No big deal right? Just a normal good deal practicing supply and demand. Well that's what I thought too. However, when I got the setup home I found that I...

Difference in bandsaws, metal vs. wood??

I ran a few searches and didn't find the answer I'm looking for so.... What I'm wondering is: "Is there a difference in bandsaws based upon expected application?" Or, can I use a metal cutting blade in a wood bandsaw?? What are the differences. I've got a line on a saw that I can get for a...

    GarageJournal.com - An Update!!!!

LOL at the narrow discussion. What a great problem to have, ehh Ryan? Of all the things that could have gone wrong it's forum compliance that's the biggest issue. Congrats on that!!! However, I will say I too have an insane amount of white space on each side of the column. That aside, great...

    Stocking a Garage

Just for giggles I hit ebay w/ "eye wash station" and for the price of some of the stations it wouldn't be a bad idea..... Ebay eye wash station, cheapest to most expensive.

    Trick-Tools.com??

Anyone ever buy anything from these guys? I was at a Hot Rod show a couple of weeks ago in Indianapolis and picked up one of their brochures. Looks like they have some nice stuff but I haven't heard of them. Frankly, I wouldn't have been in a position to know of them either before...

Another Newbie Posting Before/After Pics of 3 1/2 car garage...

Welcome to the site. GREAT looking transformation. So, the real question is, do you have more room because of the cabinets? I'm also one that wants to know if you did the custom cabinets yourself. I'm teatering on the thought of a DIY custom cabinet install. However, I'm better with metal, and...

    Backyard Garage

Looks like a great start. I'm going to guess by the amount of Juniper he's in/around San Antonio, specifically North West off I-10. Not so far as Junction but out that way.

    New guy- 3 car

Sweet. I do have a question though. (Forgive my German turbo ignorance.) What is the use of the smaller exhaust pipe? Also, are those 315 tires??? Fantastic use of NACA Duct. Based upon it's angle I assume that's an intake to the engine instead of to the brakes? Show AND go. Gotta love it! :D

If you have a 2 car garage....

One of the best things I've ever done was make use of the space above the garage door. This picture is jut a piece of adjustable wire rack and some fixtures. Lag bolted the fixture to the ceiling. Drilled some bolt holes through the rack uprights, sawed the uprights JUST short enough to clear...

    bandsaw favorite

Reviving this thread to ask about the general concensus of Delta brand band saws. Have a line on a 10" Delta w/ roll around stand for $75. I have only one question. Deal or no deal?

How to ensure your garage door is closed when you go to sleep.

Defyant. First of all, thanks for your service. Secondly, those idiots that didn't learn from, or appreciate, your advisement wouldn't need this "do-hicky" anyway. They're just asking to get robbed. (Nice Marauder too! ;) There's a special place in my heart for those cars.)

New guy... my garage remodeling project.

That looks great! Good to see another A/X guy on here. ( I know those trailers well. :D) Great look'n car, I'm sure it handles just as well as it looks. Hey, speaking of trailers. I've got a couple of spares for those, 5 lug Ford spacing I believe. If you're ever in the need of one let me know...
