    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Sigma is right - WAY more money than previous. I think somebody over there fell and hit their head. My suggestion would be to shop around some more. For $2600 you could get one with more capacity or have it shipped right to your door and unloaded What is "DDU" and "EXW" StreetKing - not...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Sigma - to answer you ? about 'down'. It appears that neither King or me have the timing device to lift for a second then lower when pushing 'down'. I have to go UP manually to take weight off the teeth - then push down to lift the arm and begin to lower. That's even in my manual. Skater...

DUDE! Don't follow the Goofy instructions! When I hooked mine up it did the same thing. Put your power to 1 & 2 (or right to the on / off switch) and ground to the chassis (i used a self tapping screw right to the sheet metal) I'm glad you can speak Chinese but the manual was written in...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I used a 5/8" x 12" bit - Hard to get into that corner hole with a shorter bit. The holes were only deep enough to sink the bolt and allow the nut & washers. Some didn't go in as far as others - not sure why, I had tape on the bit to mark it so they were equal. The epoxy stuff came from Lowe's...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Here's pics of one of my OEM fittings - I think a fork lift hit it. No it did NOT seal (Duh!). It is standard -6 AN (JIC) and I replaced it. As far as the anchors - I used the OEM ones but added epoxy to the hole. After drilling, you can get some of the dust out with a shop vac but not...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I don't see the double cylinders? I see one per lift - 2 of em, not 4? Am I missing something? The extra height is good. I agree with skater - they look exactly the same (except for the 3 tooth lock). I also agree that the new POTUS might change how easy / fun it is to self-import...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

It is my understanding that they ALL arrive in a NYC port then get trucked to 'the next place'. Mine was Balt. They took care of that forwarder's fee in my shipping cost but I paid $150 handling fee (surprise!) in Balt when I picked it up. That was for unloading it from the NY truck...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

As did Skater (& StreetKing, I think) I got mine from Ms. Liya at AutoEquip (Dayang). Not sure they actually give super accurate specs but look at the pic of my 6'4" BasketBall Player kid under his RX7 a few posts back. Even though his head is in the trans tunnel, it goes pretty high. Plus, I...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

There's a pic of my Son's '93 FD R1 on a lift on the previous page - post #1093. But it doesn't look like you need any motivation :D Sorry, but this one's getting an LS1 - It's a Hybrid...

BTW - RXtacy, That form is amazing! Talk about intricate? I'm guessing the 2X4's that run UP are to keep the form from floating?? Seriously over-done! (Um, like THAT hasn't happened much in this thread??!!) Nice job! What's the story on the car in your Avatar?

Then, does that mean I would need a NC and a NO on each of the handheld's buttons? That's what the console top contains. It is WAY different than yours - yours is simple enough for even ME to understand.

I will - there's a car on it now. will have to roll it off and snap em. tomorrow ok? Have you given any more thought to the handheld? Still doesn't fly - will I need some NC switches in my little box?

Speaking of the Steelers.... Before I die, I'm gonna request that the team be the pallbearers at my funeral. Just so they can let me down ONE more time! Pathetic today - need new coaches, duh!

Sigma - here's some pix. Let me know if you need anything else. Gonna get some work done on the car after the Steelers game ends. Spent the morning 'organizing' (loose use of that term). THAT could take months though.

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

My garage is a 'L' shaped 4 car - 2 16' doors. So it has some extra room in the inner corner - kinda like where you put a Lazy Susan in a kitchen cabinet array. Some of the interior of the house creeps into that area but i COULD put another car close to my tool box if I were to get rid of...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Redwolf, I'm in Central PA. I did all the grunt work and paid a pro to do the concrete work (is that 'flat work'?) Labor was $700 plus $370 for 2.5 yds of 4000# concrete. I built my own form - copied SuperSkater's design with a few small changes. Was pretty simple - use 2 crossing braces for...

Here's the pix of my table - Like I said, it was perfectly flat on a 'good' floor but the pit had some hi/low that needed dealt with. Some legs needed 1/4", some needed nothing, one needed to be ground down 1/8". I used string to take measurements and make it all work. It fits nice now...

I got all my lines thru 1 1/2" - wanted to use 2" but ran into a floor drain pipe under the slab. It's tight but it worked - 2" is PLENTY. 3 is a luxury. 4 is Nutty - no need at all. Jus Say'n

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

If you had it delivered, installed (not concrete work), tested and leveled for $500 - that's a steal! There's a LOT of work in all that. Especially for a 'first-timer'. But this is all about the thrill of DIY'ing, right? I'm just finishing my center 'table' for the space between the...
