    What is this (tool?)

So I looked at the ETSY link - They are definitely Thread spools. It appears that 'someone' may have had a few too many or smoked some Whacky Weed and fabbed this 'tool' for whatever reason seemed right at the time. I'm just gonna dispose of properly and go back to the garage.... bczygan -...

    What is this (tool?)

Wow! Kid's toy, Thread spools, *** toy (?),.... I had no idea this would 'stir the pot' like it has. I'll share this with my F-I-L. But, Like I said, He gave it to Me coz he didn't know what it was. (he was essentially trowing it in the trash - without using HIS can). It was obviously never...

    What is this (tool?)

Here's a close-up of the cones. I was wrong on the Masonite. It appears to be some cheap fiber board - like an egg carton is made from. I don't think it would hold up to much water without coming unglued. The whole she-bang is 12' 6" and the hose is 1/2" ID. The black part appears to be a...

    What is this (tool?)

Interesting.... I thought a water level was longer. I didn't unroll to see just how long the hose is. Wonder why one side has the black sleeve over it? I'll mess with it now that you have me curious. I'm sure it would work as a level - maybe for around corners or .....? Thanks for the replies

    What is this (tool?)

My Father in law stopped by the other day to give me an old ****** block that he never used and never will. He also gave me this thing. He has no idea what it is and Neither do I. The 'funnels' are like a masonite material. Just throwing out to the group to see if anyone can ID it. Thanks

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Yep, air lines are Wacky! Needed a fitting that is hard to get locally. That's all getting cleaned up later - just wanted to test it all. It WILL look nicer. Still, Is it OK to run lines UNDER the lift? I think that if I wrap the oil line with some sacrificial plastic pipe I could run it...

Sigma Thanks for those pics. That looks REALLY nice! GOD!, I wish mine wasn't F'n Blue! You even got a black console!? SWEET! (Black Lifts Matter) I still have to secure my oil & air lines - they sent me some FUNKY air fittings that I cannot use so I gotta got to the air line shop for parts...

StreetKing - Skater's 'table' is on pg 41. I'm gonna do mine a little different. I'll need an overhang (2") on the edges coz I have oil lines running along the lift frame on the floor of the pit. Can't have the legs on top of them. Also, I think 1/4" plate is too much - I might go with 12G...

I agree 100% but ya gotta run with what you have. I'd be interested in knowing of a better flapper disc. We have a place - same place I buy the metal - called Surplus City. GREAT selection of nuts n bolts, Stainless too. They also sell welding / grinding stuff. Very similar to the China HF...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

StreetKing; I have a similar place to buy metal - its all hot rolled and cheap. I use it for lots of 'stuff'. If you want nice welds & paint to stick to it you HAVE to get the damned Mill Scale off - which is very difficult. 40 Grit Flapper discs hardly touch it. Recently I found this and...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Still gotta get some extension hoses made, finish wiring, bolt it down, build the table.... but progress is being made. StreetKing, I'm gonna use 1 1/2" Sq tubing for the legs and the frame under the top. Planning on 1/4" plate. I think Skater used Rect. Tubing. I think 1" is kinda small...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

I does NOT lift first - even sez in the manual to PREE (I love how they spell 'press') up for a few inches - then - PREE down. It is to un-hook the claws. I put 2 layers of Elect Tape over the tiny hole in the horn - Reduced the sound by 95% - very livable now. It WAS pretty annoying. Any...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Skater asked me to post a pic of how I wired my hand held remote box. Here it is. This is only temporary till I get it sorted out - looks a mess now - I'll pretty it up once it works. I'm kinda pissed that MY lift doesn't have the timing device for lowering it - I wrote to Ms Liya and asked...

Sigma - Thanks you for the pic. Is you lift a Dayang DY-QJY3.0S? What is the circle 'clock' looking thing in the center? Mine doesn't have that. Looks like your power feed comes up from the bottom into the terminal area - did you drill and add the strain relief or did it come like that? I...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

Here's some pix of yesterday's pour - glad its done! I had pros do it - they made it look EASY! Family friends, known em forever. Didn't get the bill yet but 2.5 yds of 4000# concrete was $371.00. They weren't reall happy about the metal edge - had to shovel thru a 2 1/2" gap all around...

I'm worse than a Japanese tourist - I take pictures of EVERYTHING. Will post em after the pour - supposed to rain all day here - I think that's why he pushed so hard for tomorrow. Speaking of pictures.... I just wanna see how you guy routed, secured, terminated, etc. Skater talked about...

    In-floor Scissor Lift Install

See if THIS makes sense.... I took the jumper off and hooked up the limit switch - If I'm gonna test the thing, I'm gonna test all of it. Used a multi meter to find the N.O. contacts on the switch and put it to Term 10 & 11. This is when nothing happened. just power light, horn and air claw -...
