    EPOXY Regrets!!

I don't mean to sound critical of anyone's flooring choice for their garage. Your garage. Your choice. One more thing that I like about my floor is traction. My neighbor has a DIY epoxy on his floor. I help him at times year-round and mostly in his garage. That floor is like greased ice when it...

    EPOXY Regrets!!

I have not "lost " anything so far. I do keep a small magnet and a hemostat for reaching into the slots to retrieve things. I had a major malfunction in my Mustang's 428 CobraJet motor a few years ago. I used floor jacks, a engine hoist and rolled my tool box around with ease. One caution that I...

    EPOXY Regrets!!

As I have stated elsewhere in this forum, the bulk of the threads in the Flooring section seem to be complaints about liquid coatings. Bubbles, peeling, smell that won't go away, surface prep, pulling up after parking on it, waiting days or longer to park or walk on it. I washed my 35 year old...

    EPOXY Regrets!!

If I had to do my floor over I would do it in Race Deck. Again. After 7 years I have not 1 complaint about my Race Deck FreeFlow. I have no regrets about the installation. If the slope around the drain is a problem the tiles maybe can be made to conform to the floor by using a heat gun on them...

    Removing a Screened Logo

I bought a 24' SeaRay boat a few years back. The previous owner had a name painted across the transom. I used spray on oven cleaner to remove that. CJDave.

    kitty litter- oil stains

Smear the stain with waterless hand cleaner such as GoJo. Leave it. In a few days the hand cleaner will be gone and the stain should be also. CJDave.

A neighbor uses a cord reel from a old tank type vacuum cleaner. Maybe your local sweeper repair shop can help. CJDave.

    RaceDeck Freeflow question

I have never noticed any growing or shrinking of my Free Flow floor in 7 years. I do have one spot on the black bevel edge at my overhead door that will expand enough to raise up about 3/8" in prolonged direct sunlight. I think that trimming a 1/16th" off one end of that one bevel edge will fix...

    Cutting 18" Racedeck Flooring?

Circular saw with a paneling blade is what I used on my RaceDeck Free Flow 12" tiles. And yes, cut them face or top down. Easy peasey. CJDave.

    Racedeck Freeflow vs Freeflow XLC

What CRSPenFab said. Your usage and mine sound identical. No complaints after 7 years. CJDave.

Racedeck question with sand, pine needles, saw dust

I love my 7 year old Free Flow but I don't have the saw dust or metal shavings you talk of. A shop vac should take care of the saw dust/metal shavings followed by a hosing if needed. RaceDeck also makes solid tiles. CJDave.

Requesting help to fix my floor. Large breaks, brittle edges, and exposed rusted rebar. I have no clue what I am doing.

Everyone here knows better than I when the topic is concrete repair but is it clear out of line to cut out that damaged area and pour a patch? The floor is going to be covered in plastic tiles so color match isn't an issue. Just a thought. CJDave.
