I just ran about 90' of drain pipe to extend and connect 2 more downspouts to an existing run. I used 4" white Schedule 40 PVC. It has 2 t-fittings in it for the downspouts and 2 90 degree corner pieces, everything else is just straight. I don't like the black corrugated, it just doesn't seem...

I'm getting my ground prepped for concrete as well and I have washed stone on the ground and then 3-6" of base course over the top of that. I've been running the walk behind compactor over it and it's pretty solid. Hopefully I can get a little rain on it to settle it and solidify it even more...

Here's some more pictures of the foundation. Hopefully I can get ready for the slab by Labor Day weekend, that will give me about 2 months to get the building up and weather tight. In Wisconsin it's tough to do anything after the beginning of November, not much daylight and temps start...

It's been awhile but quite a bit of progress has been made. Buildign permit was approved, I got a friend to dig the footings, poured the footings, block foundation is almost complete and now I'm in the process of running the drain for the gutter and backfilling the foundation. Progress is...

Attached is more expensive because of concrete footings under the slab. But it's so much nicer on a rainy or cold day to never have to deal with the elements and just pull in the attached garage and go straight in the house Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm a fan of windows in a garage, just because of the natural light it adds, during the summer it can provide a nice breeze or during the winter it can be nice to air out a garage while running a snowmobile or ATV without having to open up the overhead door and let out a lot of heat.

As soon as I can get going I'll get some pictures up. Running into problems with the building inspector, he says I need a full set up plans drawn up for this but from what I'm hearing from others I shouldn't need a permit for a garage. I'd rater not spend the money on plans if I don't need it.

I quoted out a 1600 sq. ft. garage addition and just the materials came out to about $20/sq. ft. That included concrete, framing materials, siding, doors, windows, etc. It did not include any of the wiring or inside finishing touches. I'd guess that once all is said and done I'll be around...

Those drawings would be fine for a garage by me. All they require is an overhead drawing of where the garage will be on the lot, an overall square footage and a height.

What pitch roof are you going with? I was thinking about scissor trusses in my garage as well with 14' trusses.

How does the storage above the garage door track work? I'd like to do that for storing lumber above my garage doors.
