    How many 220v outlets?

There is nothing I can recall in the NEC code that prohibits more than one outlet per circuit AKA a multi-outlet branch circuit. The only restriction I'm aware of is that you HAVE to use more than one outlet (yoke) with a 15 amp outlet on a 20 amp circuit. William....

pictures of your electrical panels here

The panel is rated for 800 amps @480V in. A little high on the amps, but right on the voltage. I de-rated the main breaker to 600 amps as I didn't need 800 amps and the service entrance wires becomes a pain in the *** as to sizing them. I would have had to up grade to 500kcml wire and larger...

Outdoor storage shed. Build or buy prefab?

Wow you must get t1-11 cheap the 10 sheets of it, would be more than your total build cost of $150 here! William...

pictures of your electrical panels here

Here are a few of my panel. The feed section is a little cluttered as the wires had to loop through the CT's and 350kcml CU wire is a ***** to bend! Also the feeds need to remain the same length for all of the pairs for 6 current carrying conductors. So spacing became difficult...

    Pole Pig Transformers

If they had PCB's in them they still do, it wouldn't be cost effective to clean them to the 1ppm spec if they had any in there to begin with. If you don't need them I would have them removed at the sellers expense before you take possession of the building. William....

    Pole Pig Transformers

That makes more sense, so your getting 3 phase 480V from the power co. Is that system your thinking of not running providing all the 240v service for the building?? If so you will need another transformer for your 240v needs and your single phase 120v stuff too. IF you need another...

    Pole Pig Transformers

Oh boy at 300kva each ( if they are that big) your in for a nice big power bill to keep them warm, if they are on your side of the meter!! For me I wish I had all the transformers on the utilities side as they get the electrons wholesale, and I get to pay retail to keep them warm:-( William.....

    Unistrut Shelving Project

They turned out nice! One question though.. seeing that you messed with every one of the brackets ( welded extensions to 8 of them and your stock retention straps to them all) Why didn't you just make them?? $325 for them is a little steep if your going to remake/mod them anyway...

    The Pursuit Of Clean

Good to hear that! The amounts I got were from the official site and its rules page. It (40k) seemed to be really high for the parts. It also said up to 5k, for the make over minus the amount of the designers fees. Let us know how it works out for you and be sure to post some pics! William....

Got a new sink, was it a deal?

Most places around here want a min of $45 to fire up their tig machines, and are 60+ per hr. YMMV You do need a controlled environment for the weld, and it is protected by an inert gas. William....

Need aluminum flex or SJO cord fitting for 0.60" hole

Provide the switching capacity to switch the whole load of the motor and it's starting requirements for 50+ thousand cycles, and also provide overload protection for the motor. I assume that they used a cheaper motor that had built in a reset button on the motor for overload protection...

Need aluminum flex or SJO cord fitting for 0.60" hole

That is truly disappointing to see Quincy ( not a cheap *** manufacture) sell that machine ( at a premium price ) with out a magnetic starter! I knew that IR sold their cheaper 2 stage 5hp machine with out a magnetic starter but use them on the more $$ models. I personally would not run a 5 hp...

Need aluminum flex or SJO cord fitting for 0.60" hole

Some thing here doesn't seem to be adding up! You are running a compressor that _NEEDS_ a 50 amp feed?? How many HP is this machine, >5hp?? I thought that only cheap *** compressor manufactures, or IR made a 5hp compressor that switched the motor with a pressure switch! Doesn't this machine...

    building a frankenpressor....

I'm not sure how this effects the motor starting/overheating problem?? Your 325 can be setup for unloaded operation. You will just have to add the pilot valve and some additional plumbing to hook it up. I'm running your pump's big brother (a 390) that way. And although mine came setup...

    building a frankenpressor....

The problem with a large pump on a small tank is that if it's too large, your going to have problems with a really short pumping cycle. This will cause problems with 5hp and larger motors, as they are only rated for so many starts per hour. If you exceed this you will have shorter motor life...

Help me pick a belt grinder

They are way over 2k new, more like almost $3k for a 2hp single phase model 960-400 like in you picture. They are out there used though, I picked up mine off e-bay for under $600 and it's in VERY nice condition. It came with a metal table that the seller had it attached to, but I left it...

    The Pursuit Of Clean

I would/will feel sorry for the winner of this contest! The tax value of this package is $46k and the winner will have to pay Federal, and probably state tax on too. Normally this would not be a problem BUT they are setting the value of the USE-LESS car parts ( unless you own a F1 car, or used...

Snap-On PBC34 Hydro Pressure Blast Cabinet

Well the Snap-on stuff is $$$$ and low foaming, and non-corrosive. I don't use it as I have a huge drum of another powdered detergent that is made for hydro blast type block cleaners. I'm sure it too is $$$$ but I got it for all most nothing so...... Dee-Blast is still in business you might...

Insulation: Steel building as a home.

Thanks, The string I used was poly bailing twine, it's tough as hell and cheap. The only problems with your idea ( in my case anyway) is that I couldn't loop it over the top as I had insulation over the tops of the purlins already. Also it would hold the insulation away from the purlins...
