If your just looking for a standard size 1/2in ratchet i would try a Snap-On S80, ever since I bought my first 80 tooth Snap On ratchet Ive been hooked. I somtimes wonder if people that own the 80's still use their 36's etc... I just cant do it anymore Im hooked!! :beer:

Not necessarily "cheap" but quite reasonable for new condition items!! I need a job, it kills me looking at this stuff and not being able to buy :(

I tried using one of these leak down testers on a modular ford engine where the spark plug holes are deep down in the bore of the head, needless to say I screwed the hose into the bore and crimped section that connects the hose to the plug fitting broke leaving the fitting stuck way down the...

When I first told them I had broken the ratchet they offered to send a reair kit for free until I described what had happened then they offered to replace the entire unit, maybe it all depends on who you talk to :headscrat

Id be happy to give it to you but unfortunatly I let a buddy swipe it to use as a palm ratchet.

Nice to know, like I say I have never tried to have anything replaced with all the horror stories that ive read I wasnt sure what to expect. The real problem I thought I might have to face was proof of being the original purchaser but they didnt question me at all.

Throwing this out there because ive read so many negative threads about Snap on's warranty. First off im a heavy weekend wrencher and I have purchased alot of Snap On tools from various dealers when I run into them. Not to long ago I purchased a TF72 flex-head off a dealer that was in the area...

their was just 3 sets that ended about 30min ago on ebay, they sold for around $27.00 i think. I didnt watch it end, but when u add the shipping its almost as much as new.

Does anyone have luck with these type extractor sets? Ive used the spirol/fluted ones that are longer but most the time they snap off inside the broken bolt, the best way ive found to get a stubborn broken bolt out is to weld a nut and washer to whatever is left, or the double nut method if...
