Dented water main line on street side

I understand what you’re saying, and agree it’s the commonly accepted vernacular…. Just trying to make sense of the way he’s describing it.

Dented water main line on street side

I believe he is describing the location looking from the house back to the water main….therefore the damage is “before” the meter.

    Best Ratchet Straps Ever?

I treat ratchet straps as disposable items. They get used, abused, and cut to fit the role they need to fill. I just keep buying cheap straps and toss them when the time comes. The few times I’ve spent money on good straps, they’ve lasted just as long as the cheap ones.

    Car condo owners, in here

It’s a strange thing. I can’t imagine having such an interest in cars that you need a shop to work on them, but being fine with having to rent or buy a spot somewhere other than your home to do so. I’d think you’d want at least a garage at your house for that sort of thing.

Dented water main line on street side

I have a key and don’t have to call anyone to turn my own water off. The valve is on the city side of the meter. Not having a shutoff is absolutely insane.

    Are Air Compressors still necessary?

I have a full slate of cordless tools…and cannot fathom not having air in my shop. Die Grinders, cutoff wheels, tire inflation, nail guns, needle scalers, air hammers….nothing cordless touches the pneumatic version.

    1/4 drive 5/8” 6 point deep socket

I’ll use 1/4” any time I can, and would prefer to step right from 1/4” to 1/2” drive.
