LaCasse's "I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go" thread

Re: LaCasse's "I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go" thread It is right hand drive, that's why it's confusing. Of course. Can't thoroughly screw a car up the right way unless you have alcohol.

Re: LaCasse's "I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go" thread Car has been partially primed. I need to finish priming it then spray the black. Then I can move onto cleaning up the bottoms of the frame rails and the fender wells so they can be coated.

Re: LaCasse's "I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go" thread Well, quick update on the dart board, the engraver at the woodshop here on base broke. It's taken them over a month to get fixed. So I should be updating that soon though. Now, question for you folks. I am painting...

LaCasse's "I have no clue what I'm doing and I'm learning as I go" thread

Well folks, this will be my thread of random projects that I'm working on. The first project is a wooden dart board backing I'm building, but this thread will focus primarily on the my car, an RX-7. There are quite a few things I plan on fabricating for it's build. I'm an all around pretty...

Above 1200 Sq/FT The Warthog Hidey Hole

From 3rd-7th grade (I'm 27 now) I had to ride past that junk yard every day on my way to school and on the way home, unless my mother decided to take a different route. Can't tell you how many times I day dreamed about those cars. And yes, it's been underwater, I remember that much. The Black...

    The VISES of Garage Journal

I'm sure they're out there somewhere, but I haven't been able to find them. If I spoke Deutsch it would be a whole lot easier.

    The VISES of Garage Journal

Picked this up today. I feel like I overpaid for it, for what it is. But at the same time, I feel like I did well because I'm in Germany and finding a quality vise has been somewhat a pain in the ***. Wouldn't be a problem if I had my other vice with me here. Anyways, this is a Yost vise. It's...

2 26" chests on my 57" roller cab

Is there anything between the boxes? Like a sheet of plywood or anything? Personally, I would add a sheet if there isn't already. That way the weight of the upper boxes is spread evenly across the entire top of the bottom box, taking a lot of the weight off that center line. Where the two top...

Vise and Grinder stands. I'm looking for ideas on how to use several in limited space

My first though was: Either that's a tiny *** table, or the biggest calculator I've ever seen. lol

How much would you guys expect to pay for these?

Can't really say anyone is being a ****. Just saying what they personally value them at, which is cool. No problem with that.

Thanks guys, that's more of what I was looking for.

How much would you guys expect to pay for these?

I'm not asking for suggestions on what to buy. Or what's better. Or what could be had cheaper. Just one simple question, what seems like a fair price for a used one? $5? $10? $15? $20?

How much would you guys expect to pay for these?

These are used Snap-On AD12 (12") crescent wrenches. I assume they are an older variant of Snap-On's AD12A crescent wrench which is $80 new. They have some dings in them, but nothing major. What sounds reasonable for a single wrench?

whats a few things youve learned here?

I've learned that 90% of my tools are worthless junk that will never do their job for years on end, just because they're not Snap-On.

    Unheated garage

You don't even need the refrigerator. All you need is a wooden box really. When I was a kid we always kept the water lines in our pump house from freezing by putting a bulb in there. And that pump house was not insulated. It was just made of plywood.
