    Mac MB4100+MB4200 - Gainesville, Fl

Grew out of my Mac toolbox, time for someone else's garage. Not the prettiest, but all drawers, locks, and casters work. Model #s MB4100 and MB4200, combined measure 42x18x55. Keys and drawer liners included. $600 obo, pickup preferred. It is an older Mac box that has been used, so there...

    What do you guys think?

Picked up a Lincoln 125 for $115. Those smaller FCAW units are fine for thin steel (make sure it'll do the thicknesses you want). Easy to use, easy to learn, and good resale value.

    New Cen-Tech BoreScope

Used it to check a 68 Firebird engine after it experienced some detonation. Worked as advertised, one bank fine other bank...not so much :)

Dry adhesive on tool box drawers

PPG makes a wax and grease remover called JX101 that I've had tremendous success with on removing old residues. Local auto paint shop should have it. A fingernail helps speed the process :)

    Snap On KRA Question

Wrong detent, the above is I think for the rail not the slider. Could also be for a different model. This is closest. Took me a few minutes to realize this is a kit, so they are 2 stacked on top of each other

    Snap On KRA Question

Agreed, not too concerned about them. Wheels are fine for me, box'll be mobile the next few days while I transfer tools and touch up areas. After that I expect it won't move for a few years :). Turns out its current position in the garage is sloped just a tiny bit. I know this cause the...

    Snap On KRA Question

Correct; dimensionally they're close enough it doesn't matter (Snap On 40x20x50 Mac 42x18x55). Few of my reasons. much better drawer sliders (ball bearing versus not) prefer the full drawer versus 60/40 or 70/30 prefer fewer deeper drawers versus more shallow drawers got the Mac in Dec for a...

    Snap On KRA Question

Want to clarify; not having any drawer issues, just trying to track down where those plastic bits came from. Now that's not to say those rubber dampeners won't prevent wear and tear on the box, they probably will. But I don't see myself taking all the drawers out (they're already 90% full) to...

    Snap On KRA Question

Figured out what it is, now need to find the correct name and p/n. Rails have two bumpers, one on the fixed rail (does not move) and one on the slider (moves with the slider). These **** up on each other when the drawers are closed. You cannot determine visually with drawers installed; also...

Lets see your Tool Carts/Service Carts

Repurposed my Craftsman toolcart for flux-core MIG welding. Kinda nice not lugging it around. Course it still gets tools piled on it, let's not get crazy :) Now just need to wire up a 220v outlet for my new-to-me Lincoln 180 (currently using Lincoln 125).

    Snap On KRA Question

Color is "arctic silver". Still listed on Snap On's website in most KRL and EPIQ combinations, plus special orders.

    Snap On KRA Question

Ok, consensus is detents. Snap On link and picture. Think I can see that. With the front plastic latches I guess the detents aren't critical. Looks like I'll pull a few drawers and poke around. The power of the Internet strikes again!

    Snap On KRA Question

Thanks! Fairly certain no- different material and different thickness. The picture doesn't show this great but the 2 pieces nest around each other. My first thought was some type of rubber bumper or cushion but didn't see anything at first glance. All drawers work so I'm hesitant to start...

    Snap On KRA Question

Greetings all, first post here. Question on my new-to-me Snap On KRA4114 and KRA4107 boxes. But first, pic of box :D Starting to really dig the Arctic Silver. Especially compared to my old box (it was fixed up post-photo). Ok, while cleaning up the box with JX101 (seriously one of the...
