    Got the 1966 headlight bezels and grille sorted on my 1967 Fairlane bodied 2016 Mustange GT (Fairstang). This picture shows how well the Mustang's stretched chassis fits under the Fairlane body.

    I’ve done it both ways in different situations. IMO if looks are what you’re going for the inside is better.

    This is the best way you’ll get a super nice bend though you’re cut off wheels going to have to be thicker than a usual thin cut off Wheel. Or once you see the two sides of your slit come together make a couple more passes with the cut off wheel.

    I'm building a Fairstang, it a 2016 Mustang GT with a 67 Fairlane body. Got the hood, fenders and cowl gaps sorted out. I used the Mustangs trunk hinges for the hood and have the Mustang hood latch mounted in the cowl.

    Yes, the little belt sanders work great though. I just had to do a bunch on a 2016 Mustang and the sheet metal was full of carbon, ended up buying some cutters from Amazon.
