The lifts that will be replaced are a 7,000lb Benwil asymmetrical that was installed new in 1984-85 and a Globe 9,000lb symmetric that was installed new in 1989-90. I have used both lifts for years and just frankly hate both of them. Its time for some new units.

Need opinions on what you guys are using for a good, heavy duty interior paint and primer. Some info on the building, its a block building built in 1970. The walls have never had paint on them, I plan on using a degreaser and pressure washing them before paint to remove any grease, dust etc off...

The comments still seem positive towards the Atlas units. Another reason I was looking into these is because where I work, we are suppliers for both of these companys and I can get both lifts for well under $2,000 a piece.

Ill look into Direct too, I knew Atlas wasn't ALI certified but have heard decent reviews on here. Im in the process of renovating an old auto repair shop and the lifts are in ok condition just very old, id rather start with 2 fresh units.

Yup grandfather started it in 1970 and my dad joined in full time in the late 70's. We are working out the details now but its going to be comming to me with about 90% of the equipment. There are actually two buildings pretty much full of tools/shop equipment.
