Sharpe Air Control Unit - Made where???

I ordered a Sharpe 880A air control unit from Amazon expecting a high quality product made in America. The Sharpe web site says: http://www.sharpe1.com/sharpe/sharpe.nsf/Page/About+Us When it arrived, I was disappointed to see this on the box and product: So... WWGJD? What would garage...

Welding a O2 sensor bung onto my exhaust pipe?

An alternative... I used a spark plug non-fouler from the Help! section of the parts store for my O2 sensor bung. Just cut off the long part to leave the threads.

Tig welder for a total newbie.

Is there any particular reason that a MIG welder wouldn't work for you? TIG equipment is expensive, as you noticed, and difficult to learn.

Need Ideas for a stuck CV Axle - special removal tool?

SUCCESS! We ended up pulling the passenger side and making a tool like the snap-on one posted earlier. We made it long enough that it went all the way outside of the wheel well so I could really get some good hits with the hammer. The problem was the oversized circlip on the aftermarket half...

Need Ideas for a stuck CV Axle - special removal tool?

Time for an update... its still not out of the car! We tried prying from the top & bottom together, tapping with a punch and hammer, and pulling with a slide hammer. Unfortunately we didn't have a good way of attaching the slide hammer so we rigged up some seat belt webbing, but we couldn't...

Need Ideas for a stuck CV Axle - special removal tool?

I'm amazed by how quickly this forum comes together with ideas! Thank you! Yes, mine is an aftermarket reman unit, and apparently some of those have larger clips than the OEM ones. It was difficult to push in, but this is impossible to pull out! I tried a puller like pictured above, but I...

Need Ideas for a stuck CV Axle - special removal tool?

I can't get the CV Axle out of the driver's side on my 95 mazda 626. I changed it out to a "Fenco" aftermarket one a few weeks ago, but forgot to do the seal... of course its leaking gear oil now. What I expected to be an easy job has turned into a nightmare. I cannot get this axle out of the...

    Older Snap-on Box on CL

http://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/tls/2246318689.html I'm being seriously tempted by this. I don't need it, per se, but it just looks so nice! So, what is it? I'm expecting friction slides and a gas shock lid, maybe from the early 90's? Is it worth his asking price?

    Work Benches

You could always try. Invest $44 and your time in another bench, paint it and put it on CL. Test the waters, so to speak. You'll find out pretty quickly what the market is like. Good luck!!

will USA craftsman come back after SK is up and running?

I agree Sears is a lost cause. The more interesting question, at least to me, is what channel will the new SK choose to sell their products? Online / Amazon, trucks, Home Depot, Ace hardware, The Zone...??

HELP, HUGE dilemma, Stilleto 12oz. Titanium hammer

Ideally, you'd plot your course (of walking) ahead of time and compute the require number of steps to reach your destination. At periodic intervals, stop and swap the tool bags between hands. You will end up with a zig-zag maneuver when executed properly. Don't forget to compensate for the...
