Had to go to work for the last 10 days. A little bit got done while I was away. Another 300 yards of dirt, the block retaining wall guys are hard at work, even today. They should be done by Monday with the stacking and filling. They should finish the sealing and painting by Friday. Next is...

After thinking about it for a few, at the very least a linear drain 10-15ft inside the main roll up door. I really can see me using it during the hottest months of the year. Something like this 3" one from NDS. It would pretty much force me to go at least 6" deep on the pour around the drain...

Let’s talk floor drains… So, 4 months out of the year, it’s stupid hot in Gilbert. My shop is going to be large enough that I could wash a car indoors with the AC on. Would I want to power wash one? No. But a hand wash etc, yes. Sump with a grate? 4” or so circular? Linear? Thoughts? Experiences?

Garage Floor Tiles to avoid any possibility that efflorescence can return. Need some more info please.

I used Racedeck Free-Flow in my last shop. 3 years of abuse, floor jacks, jack stands and traffic. Held up like a champ and would definitely use Racedeck again. That being said, I’d use one of the solid types for actual work areas where kneeling, and work are being done. Free-Flow tends to leave...

And just like that 200 cu yd’s of dirt are spread. Retaining wall footers are dug and my dogs are loving the dirt. We still need another 120 yds of dirt to level the grade. Hoping that comes tomorrow. Funny how timing works. Had to leave the house for work by 1pm. No trucks. 1:15, phone rings...

@jblnut racking my brain on how to do a bathroom. We are on septic, the tank is several hundred feet away. Putting in another is not an option at this time. Think we are outta options on that one. I for sure will be doing the blocking or plywood walls downlow. @Boostingaz, the light strips...

I love those lights. Used them on my last shop. I held them on with magnets on the overhead of my 4 post and on both verticals of the 2 post.

@Boostingaz , I like the look of that, and the ease of maintenance. We are leaning towards an open ceiling with spray foam and visible ducting, so that will be easy. The walls, different story. the plywood underlayment seems like a great solution for keeping things from falling down. Will...

    Moving a wall switch

An option you may not have considered is using a Lutron Caseta switch, leaving it where it is behind the cabinet and adding a Lutron Pico switch. The Pico is a wireless switch that pairs with the wired switch. It has a 10 year battery that you can put anywhere that’s convenient. It can be...

4 post double wide lift question

Has anyone had any experience using one of these? I'm considering, only because its what i've found, the BendPak HD-9SW Double-Wide, the Wildfire Double wide or the Standard Auto Lifts SGT-9000XLT. This will be for indoor storage. I have 220v and air available so don't mind either way. Any...

    Opinions Requested

look at Racedeck flooring. Hard to beat the durability, flexibility and ease of install. Im on my 2nd garage with it. I just cut around where my 2 post lift sits, everything else is ontop of it.

Looking for any pros or cons between two four post lifts.

They both have their merits. If it's primarily for parking, go the 4 post route. Much easier on and off. If you are going to go up and down, pull wheels etc work underneath, the 2 post is the winner. Also what @brownbag said. Coincidently, I logged in tonight to see if anyone had any experience...
