    I 2nd that just start at tack strip and pull walking back over the padding till you get that strip done roll up and wrap with duct tape.If your going to put carpet and pad down again just beat the staples down you should be able to then pull any chuncks up with your fingers.

    I think your talking about trichlooethylene it used to be used in all kinds off solvents we used to use it to clean residue off tires/tubes after buffing to clean it off used to use it on rags now they found out it causes all kinds of medical problems.Good to know now!!!

    Had the same problem I have half block half wood walls and was using a propane convection heater to work inside finishing the interior once I hung up my 45,000 vented heater the problem with the walls sweating went away.
