    chop saw and sinus issue

Years ago while on a trip to Tasmania, I stopped at a woodturners gift shot and I asked him about the full face mask he was using while turning bowls. He mentioned something about certain airborn wood fibers which can affect the lungs similar to asbestos fibers. Dont know if its true but...

Fair price for Lincoln Squarewave TIG 175?

I know its not a Lincoln 175 but I picked up a Miller Synchrowave 200 with bottle for $1000. Between 650-800 would be reasonable.

Autopower is garbage and none of their junk meets NHRA rules.

Who makes bolt in cage kits for 69 Chev. Beaumont

Apparently DOM tubing is the same ERW .134 wall tubing drawn over a mandrel which flattens the weld/wall and ensures the wall thickness is consistent at .120. As for the question of safety there are tons of cars with cages that come as a kit that meet the NHRA rules. I wouldnt recommend a 10 pt...

Who makes bolt in cage kits for 69 Chev. Beaumont

    S&W racecars might have what you need. If I remember correctly a 6pt roll bar has to be 1 3/4" (min .120 WT) and a 10pt can be 1 5/8". www.swracecars.com www.swracecars.com/store/8-Point-Roll-Bar-OSCARItem_27=11-1003.aspx

    File Cabinets for hardware storage?

Dollar tree has 3 plastic containers for $1.00 that work pretty well. Most dollar stores have cheap containers that work well for screws/bolts/hardware.

    Craigslist desk

I have an old (1950s) 6" Craftsman lathe I was thinking of mounting on it. Other than flying chips are there any negatives with mounting a lathe at desk height? Lathe is same as in pic. I picked it up couple years ago in Northern Wisconsin. Apparently the original owner bought every attachment...

Don't buy gravel when it has rained!

Around here homeowners can either take a trailer or truck to the crusher/pit and they will load you up as much as you can take for $20.00 I am sure there is a limit but I have had an 18' equipment trailer loaded heavy for the $20

    Craigslist desk

After being somewhat patient I finally found a suitable desk for the shop. Cleaned up really well and has minimal dings to the finish. :bounce:

    Drywall or OSB ?

In your neck of the woods I would built with 2x6 construction, 5/8" drywall and insulate it as well as you can. You can always install sheets of OSB over top of the drywall where you want to hang stuff. Nails or hooks screwed directly to osb walls looks unfinished. IMO.

    Home Lift Suggestions

The consensus is that Whips lifts are in the non ALI certified "if you lift anything heavy its going to fail and kill you" category. I bought my Whip WAS10 after looking at Bendpak, Direct, Forward, Rotary, Challenger, Mohawk. So far so good. Well built, good powerunit, and great service. Mine...

Assembly of my new (2) HD-9XW Bendpak lifts

I am curious if a single rolling (rail) jack is enough? and having two seriously hurts access. I picked up a used 4 post lift and would like to know how you get all 4 wheels off at the same time. Thanks

Assembly of my new (2) HD-9XW Bendpak lifts

I would have bought a 2 post for working and a 4 post for storage . Install them side by side and you would have had the best of both worlds.
