    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I'm still holding out for a large-capacity Bambu. They have to know the demand for it is there...

Tailoring was originally a man's job! In much of the world, it still is. There is no shame in being able to create something like that.

Thanks! Yes, I stitched the honeycomb pattern in. I saw it on Instagram from a leatherworker who is local to Salt Lake. She does all kinds of cool patterns, but the honeycomb stuck out to me as really different. I had to create a few different stencil to get the spacing and size right on the...

This thread needs reviving! I just finished a new seat cover for one of my motorcycles. This is the 5th seat cover I've done, and it is way better than any of the previous. I picked up a Nakajima 180L walking foot machine, and it made a huge difference when working with the heavier materials...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I have printed TPU from a Ender 3 V2 with the stock extruder and Capricorn tubing without issues (Overture 95A TPU). Last year I upgraded to a titan extruder, so I could print at higher temperatures, and it has been working great. I think if you are printing with the really soft TPU, then the...

    The Everything 3D Printer Thread

I'm in a similar boat. I have been using my Ender3 for 3 years now, and I am so sick of having to babysit it and tweak it to get it to print properly. When it does, it's great. But sometimes I want to throw it out the window. I like what I have learned about printer design, but I don't want to...

The Bambu printers seem to be really doing well in terms of bang for the buck and print speed/quality. They handle multi-filament printing well too. They don't have the build volume of the Prusa XL though. I am really hoping they come out with a larger print volume model within the next year...

Garage banners - where do you buy?

I bought a few from fleabay and crapazon. They aren't high quality, but they work.

    Snow BLOWER or THROWER?

They are all snowblowers here. Now, why are snowmobiles called "snowmachines" by so many? A snowmachine makes snow... Also, what kind of oil should I put in my snowblower/snowthrower/snowmobile/snowmachine? :headscrat

I needed a way to attach my heated controller for to my motorcycle so I could actually see it. I modeled up a base and TPU strap in F360. The base is printed in PETG, and I'll be redoing it in ASA after a few tweaks to the design. The PETG was stringing badly, so I think I need to dry it out...

    Between 485 & 705 SQ/FT DIY Garage Transformation

I really like that blue color on the Husky cabinets! I have the same 56" tool chest in black. The blue was out of stock, otherwise I would have gone with that.

What is the best pen or pencil to write on bare steel?

Tungsten scribe through some Dychem/sharpie. Depending on the finish of the surface, your eyesight, and the lighting, the scribe might be enough to see.

How are you getting that carbon fiber weave texture on some of the prints? Is that kind of like the ironing setting on the top layer?

Garage Cabinets - NewAge Pro wall hung

The steel bar I got at Home Depot, but any metal supplier will have something similar. With a 2x8 resting on the floor against the stem wall, you aren't losing much floor space, so it will appear as if the cabinets are still hanging, but it would alleviate the concern of so much weight hanging...

Sure thing! https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal It seems they have really hidden that feature on the website. I had to google "Fusion 360 personal use" to find it.

Garage Cabinets - NewAge Pro wall hung

I have my NewAge Bold cabinets wall mounted on a 2x4 ledger. They have been up for 2.5 years now, with no signs of sagging or warping. My counter is at 41," and I'm happy with it at 6' tall. I don't have any of the cabinets loaded to capacity, but they certainly aren't empty. Each of the tall...

Fusion 360 is free for personal use. Tinkercad is a free web-based design program that is easy to use, but it is very different than a true CAD program. It is great for throwing simple shapes together, but lacks flexibility for complex designs.

I finished the welding card and went for a drive this weekend :rocker: I had a scrap of 1/4 rubber mat that I put on top. It rolls around the garage easily enough with one welder, and tucks nicely into the corner under the electrical panel. The weather was too beautiful on Sunday to not go...

    Show us your welding projects

I am an amateur welder. I took a night class through the local college, where we covered gas, stick, and mig. I have been drawing up various plans for a welder cart for far too long. There are just too many good ideas out there that I wanted to incorporate! I have found tons of inspiration...
