What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Craftsman mower wouldn't start about 2 weeks ago. Kohler MV17, no spark from the ignition coil. Ordered a new one from Amazon. It was delayed due to USPS and Easter but, got it in and fired right up. The snowblower is still on and needed a hosing off. The only time I needed it this year was a...

2024 Garage Sale Thread (13th Annual)

Got this Enerpac set this week. All of it was going to the scrap bin since the company bought several new complete outfits. The pump works but some of the connectors are mismatched. Overall pretty good score.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Eastern Washington Workshop

I've had a similar experience. I found that not following the recommended conductor strip back length created what seemed like a nice tight connection, but in fact, I'd cut it back too short. The insulation was beneath the screw and the conductor was only touching. I've been following your...

Alarm Sytem Remote Keypad Retrofit Advice

The keys on my Radio shack remote keypad have gone wonky from years of use. I'd like to retrofit a keypad with RFID access. The current keypad is a 49-452, 4 wire. 2 terminals marked 12V, the other 2 marked SERIAL DATA. There's also a 2 switch DIP switch for addressing. Anyone made an upgrade...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Dad's gas dryer was on the fritz, igniter glowed but no flame in the burner. Checked all temp switches, ok. Gas valve solenoids looked OK, matched the values listed on the troubleshooting guide tucked in the control panel. Bought replacement solenoids from Amazon for less than 10 bucks and...

Finished securing fuel supply & return lines on Dad's Buick. I'll be driving it until my wifes KIA is back from warranty engine replacement. After cleaning up we sat in the garage, grilling brats and enjoying a couple cold beers.

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Replaced fuel supply and return lines on my dad's 96 Park Ave. I did the brake lines 3 years ago and must have blocked out that traumatic experience since I dove right into this one. I got the stainless pre-bent lines from Inline Tube, they're close but require some tweaks to fit. 8 hours later...

Ah, a Visgage! Used them quite a bit on engine room watch in the USCG. New, unused oil is measured against the sealed sample and recorded in the log. Drawn samples are tested and measured against the sealed sample to determine if there is fuel oil dilution or thickening present. Both samples...

What did you do "IN" your garage today?

Dad's garage- unloaded salt for his softener and filled it. Changed the whole house water filter. O ring got caught in the threads and the base cracked. Trip to local Ace, $65.00, kiss my ***. Out to Menards, ($47.00) installed and was done at 5:30. Completely shot the day but glad to help him out.
