I have a set of craftsman 1/2 drive spline drive. I use them fairly often, since its what's at the work bench. They are ok. I wouldn't want to use them on an old rusted bolt anymore than I'd use a 12 point. But for most day to day tinkering they work just fine.

They are nice. They are a little heavier than I thought they would be. And the head on them is pretty big. But, they are every bit as nice as my american made craftsman stuff. Not as nice as my proto and sk stuff.

I have a red grizzly vise. I just keep the thread treated with some grease when it needs it. I think I paid 100 for the vise....

You are correct. I misspoke. LS makes lot of the tractors for CNH. Regardless, they are the same tractor. A 50 hp LS, case, and new holland are the same mechanically. They have different pain and trim. They are not owed by the same company, they are just in bed together.

I spent the big bucks and went with copper. I wanted more than enough.

LS is a newer value priced tractor. They make a lot of the tractors for case newholland.

Yeah, it's a cartridge. Sometimes, it's a torn o ring. But it's a cheap and easy replacement. As mentioned, delta has a lifetime warranty. But if it's totally driving you nuts, the big box stores should have a replacement. All good info to pass along to the land lord.😉
