LG Multi-F Max Mini-Split not shutting off. Help

Is there an auxiliary heat feature? Our RTUs at work have aux heat, when the temp outside hits a certain low and the main can't keep up, the aux kicks in to give a "helping hand". I just worked on a unit yesterday that was giving problems. The aux heat was on and the room the unit was feeding...

Fluke meter - help me pick!

I don't like Kool-Aid, never did. Even when I was a kid I couldn't stand that "3 pounds of sugar in an 8oz cup" taste. As long as it has two pointy-stabby metal spikes and a way to read the results I'm good to go.

Fluke meter - help me pick!

Klein CL800. Comes with a temp probe and will do DC amps without interrupting the circuit. We have a 117/323 kit at work, the 323 is a toy compared to the Klein and won't do DC amps without using probes and interrupting the circuit, Neither will the 117. The Klein will do DC amps through the...

    Replacing dead receptacles

Use an NCVT or a meter. I don't do any electrical work without testing first, it's good practice and safe. I've done receptacles, light fixtures, etc. at home while they were hot but I'd never admit it... Yup, me too. I don't trust diddly in a box unless I know for sure it's wired to where...

Retractable Air Hose Reels - Recommended?

Flexzilla, hands-down. We use one at work and it's spectacular. No issues with the reel, locks every foot, and has a lever that will allow full retract, or retract on demand. The Flexzilla hose is ridiculous, never kinks, and durable as all get-out. We run it through oil, grease, chemicals...

Suggestions for making a tool chest forking cradle

You're overthinking it way too much, they make lifting straps and slings for stuff like this. You put them around and under the box and slide the strap handles onto the forks. There's a lot of options, and the weight ratings can go up to the tens of thousands of pounds.

    Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMax 1/2" Impact

**SOLD** Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMax 1/2" Impact ***SOLD*** Brand new impact, I only attached a fitting to run air through it and test it. It runs, it runs great. Box is a little rough but the impact is pristine. The only flaw I can find is the brand stamping is a little goofy, looks like they...

    Losing a tiny part

The worst thing about dropping small parts is the mental quandary you go through trying to decide "Should I move all of this **** to look for it, or go to the parts bin for a different one???". Worst part is when you really need the part so you spend a shitload of time looking for it, only to...

    Multi meter where to buy?

Get a Klein CL800 clamp meter, built tough and does DC amps. Low price compared to a Fluke too, only $140.

The tool we all hate to use. I need a new wallet.

I use cheap eBay hardshell cases for my wallet and for business cards. They're cheap, they work, they fit well in a pocket, and they lock so stuff won't fall out. I engrave them for a personal touch... June 29 005 by Edward Durbin, on Flickr June 29 009 by Edward Durbin, on Flickr June 29...

Bayco SLR2120. Great light, throws the same or slightly better amount of light that a standard 4' fluorescent fixture does. I use one and it illuminates under the hood perfectly.
