    Torx t5 and smaller

Not to steer the thread off-course but...as a knife-a-holic I have to ask...what kind of knives?

    Torx t5 and smaller

I use this Husky from Home Depot, it works perfectly for all of my Torx needs for my knives, and for computer work as well. So far any time I've needed a "tiny" Torx I immediately think of grabbing this out of my drawer. I have another driver like this from Husky that is standard/Philips and I...

    For Sale: Kennedy machinist toolbox

I have a Kennedy machinist tool box for sale, selling for a friend. It's in great shape, has a scratch on the front door but otherwise it's in pretty dang good condition. All drawers open nice, all liners are in great condition. Has two keys, lock and lock pins work perfectly. The sticker...

For Sale: Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMax 1/2" Impact

For sale is an Ingersoll Rand 2135TiMax 1/2" Impact. Brand new, box has a little wear but the impact is new and unused. Only put a fitting on it to make sure it operated, which it did beautifully. Comes with the box, the impact, and whatever paperwork. Asking $200.00 shipped for it, but...

Mod to convert leaky desk chair pneumatic cylinder to fixed position?

This is exactly how I fix bad cylinders, and I'm sitting on a chair with one right now. Simple to do, and you can make the PVC whatever length you want to achieve the height you want. All of the chairs I've done this to have had no issues with swiveling. Haven't had any issues with the PVC...

Looking to buy 3/8 impact sockets.

Go to your local O'Reilly, look for the Power Torque 3/8" drive deep swivel impact sockets. They're around 6 bucks right now on clearance. There's SAE and metric (can't find the metric listing), and typically in the back corner in the little clearance carousel. I picked up a set of each and they...

    Tap and die set

I've had the Gearwrench 75pc tap and die set for years, probably around 10 or so, maybe longer, and so far I haven't broke a tap, haven't even broke teeth off...even the smallest ones. I don't baby the set but I don't beat it up either. I make sure the drill bits I'm using when tapping new holes...

Please don't judge me for asking this...

I'm in the "don't bother" category, there's so much **** on my walls that it would have been useless to paint. Sure it'd be nice to have a nice uniform color, but the bottom line is that when I'm in the garage, the walls are so far out of my mind that it's not even funny. I can't see the...

    Shop worklight queston

Look for a Bayco NIGHTSTICK SLR-2120, it's a great light and puts out plenty of light for working under the hood. We sell them but look around, you can find them cheaper. I have one and I store it over my work bench, I can light up my bench with it with the same amount of light that the 4'...

    ratchet ****

Somehow when I think of "****" I think that the resulting photos should be able to draw emotion, elicit a response, etc.. So..."ratchet ****" to me would look something like this... PowerTorque GM6146 by Edward Durbin, on Flickr CF Background Test 009 02 by Edward Durbin, on Flickr

    Show your new tool arrivals

I've got one of those in 1/2" drive, never use it. It's cool though, neat idea and probably useful in certain situations.

SAE size hole for metric tap ? Do you have metric drill bits?

In over 30 years of industrial maintenance I have drilled and tapped more holes than I could possibly ever count. Every time I needed to tap a metric hole I used an SAE drill bit, and I never had any issues doing it. I have never owned, and as far as I can remember I have never used, a metric...

    The Bowling Alley workbench build

Not sure, the picture makes it look more angled than it is, it's not totally square but it's close. It was probably a cutoff, I have a few pieces that are similar in size, I probably had a fair chunk of it at one time and cut it down. It's probably an approach piece, a piece from the trapdoor...
