    Battery / Alternator tester

Thanks, this is what I thought. To be honest, I'd rather have a simple, easy to use, accurate tool than a multimeter anyways. I don't test batteries/ alternators often enough that i'd remember how to do it, and i'd rather just spend $50 to make it a simple process.

    Battery / Alternator tester

Are their any affordable / reliable tools that will allow you to test a battery to see if it is good, as well as check the output of the alternator to see if it is preforming as expected? looking at maybe this one, but not sure they test alternators...

    Snow blower shute director modification?

Not sure either, but it's also fairly trivial to add a junkyard alternator, which then also allows you to add lights, heated grips, coffee maker, ect, ect.

I've been thinking about using a window wiper motor, or a window lift motor to power mine.

    Are insullation baffles needed?

If you're doing cathedral ceilings, then you won't have a vented ceilings, so baffles definitely aren't needed. baffles are basically used to make blow in insulation easier. You don't need them, but it makes it easier to maintain the air channels from the soffits to the roof. Without them, you...

1st and probably last experience with Toolsource

They just don't have their act together. I ordered a bunch of Milton V air fittings from them. (40 or so). Although the website said they were in stock, half were not. then I received incorrect fittings. I contacted them and they said they would ship the correct fittings when they were in...

    Storage Cabinets?

locate a local company that supplies office equipment. They will often have used metal cabinets that are plenty strong for garage use. I've picked up a couple on craigslist for $20-$30, but if you don't want to wait for a deal that's your next best bet for quality cabinets at a decent price.

looking for someone to weld in INDY

Might try posting on http://www.indycarz.com . I've got mig, but no tig. Short of someone doing this as a favor it's probably going to cost you a good bit to have someone come to your site, especially for no more welding than it seems you need.

    Jeep HVAC help needed

Head to a junkyard. I think those control units are the same as an XJ. If that's the case you shouldn't have trouble finding one. However, any you find will also most likely be melted. when the resistor goes out the whole wiring circuit overheats and takes that plug with it. I went through the...

Anybody made poured concrete outdoor tables/bars?

Here's a top that I poured. It's about 4x7 and 2 inches think. I poured in place using melamine. Welded together a rebar frame for it. I think it took around 8 bags of the redimix concrete mix. So, it weighs about 500lbs. I then stained it, and sealed it. This was an experiment to get a feel...
