    Single car garage in Indianapolis

I feel your pain with the single car. Last house we rented was a one car, and it was a bear to work on anything. When we were looking for a house my fiancee found this, and instantly knew where we were moving: We're just north of broadripple park. Your garage looks great.

    Some Lathe Stuff

Thanks, that give me a good idea of what to build. Being 6 4", I look a bit comical using the saw on the current stand.

What type of connector is this?

I have a couple of the county comm one's. I bought a few as spares. I've used one for a few years, and it's good as new. No use for the spare. Much better than the split rights. Plus, county comm has so much cool stuff $20 isn't a problem.

1994 Grand Prix 3.4 Spark plug blew out

I had the same thing happen with a 3.1. Not sure if the heads are the same, but I got the tool and kit from Napa. I think it was only about $30, but that was 5 years ago.

Just received My New international toolbox From Sears

Email: [email protected] This is their executive customer service team. Write them a nice email explaining what went wrong, and some possible ways they could make you happy. They are the only people at sears that have the power to make things right. Trust me on this. I have been screwed...

    Experience with Riv-Nuts

If you have a Harbor Freight close they sell a rivnut gun with some rivets for like $12. Might be worth it to pick it up and experiment. It's one of those tools you didn't know you needed until you get one.

Heating Suggestions for Welding and Carpentry in Garage through the Winter

Get some foamboard insulation for the garage door, and insulate the wall that currently isn't. It will be less drafty, and make it much easier to heat. total cost should be under $100 I was in a similar situation last year, and I'd suggest a kerosene heater. The downside is that it may take a...

    Raising a car.

I did this with my jeep last summer. Raised each corner on jackstands, then, made cribbing out of 2x4's (about a foot tall, as the jeep is already lifed). Lifted the car taller, and put the cribbing under each tire. There was much more room than using jackstands, and I was able to lift the...

Crimp Dies... think these will fit?

I have a blue handled crimper, that I bought from amazon. It's made by a company called toolaid: http://www.toolaid.com/ from what I can tell they seem to make all of these that have the blue handle, and I think from what I can recall they are a knockoff of the MSD crimpers. I looked at the...

    Thanks, Sears/Craftsman!

It seems like the regular sears customer support staff is not intelligent enough to solve problems, and is not empowered to resolve issues either. They only have canned responses, and they are often not satisfactory. The couple of times that I have contacted them I have been more frustrated than...

    Akro/ Quantum Bins --> $1 each

go here, and look on the lefthand side for the different types of storage systems: http://www.akro-mils.com/industrial/ The bins have a simple Lip at the back to hang from. You could easily make some hangers using some flat stock, and something to space that stock away from the walls. That's my...
