    Rivnut question

It may be overkill but I drill the hole undersized and take it to a snug fit with a tapered hand reamer when installing riv-nuts.

Sleeve bushing for 48 frame motor?

My son’s furnace blower quit several years ago at 11:00 pm on a Saturday. It had been noisy and he put off checking it out. We took it apart and polished the bushing area of the shaft on my lathe. We swapped the end caps, the squirrel cage end bushing was worn from the overhanging load. We...

    Scrap yard save again!

A Jacobs 34-33C will fit that spindle. There is a Jacobs 33 taper on the spindle and the knurled nut helps retain the chuck.

    Multi-speed Drill Press

I converted my Wilton drill press to DC, Dayton 2M169 3/4 hp pmdc motor and a KBMG-212 DC drive. I frequently change the speed, it’s just a twist of the pot. I use it for drilling soft wood to hard steel. It’s an easy upgrade.

Diy parts assembly/disassembly stainless steel, sheetmetal, etc

Back in the early 80’s I was the FWD automatic guy at our local Chevy dealership. I overhauled more of the 125c’s at the whopping 6.3 R&I+O&H warranty time than I care to remember. I did an estimate on one, the customer didn’t like the price so he took it. 2 weeks later he discovered he could...
