    Pole Barn Upgrade Advise?

I like the idea. Go for it! but first you need to have a garage sale, or get a roll-off dumpster and fill it up. If its not making you money, or you havent used it in atleast 1yr, throw it in the dumpster! Some may disagree, but clutter drives me up the wall! Have fun with it.... Later!

    Double Bubble Vapor Barrier

Its a radiant barrier. I have it on my shop, and it makes a big difference in conjunction with my ridge vent. Very easy to install. It's a 6' wide roll, and just drapes over the purlins. Your tin goes directly on top of it, and holds it in place.

    Project Tool Organization

I have used the sturctural foam type in friends shops before, and they work good. I have a small, roll around craftsman box that I use. Works great. Stuff still gets cluttered, it's just the nature of the job man. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/category_6970_101+1542

    Driveway Materials

My driveway is 600' long. I used dirt as a bed, and built it up close 12" thick. Since time was on my side, I let it sit for over 6 months. When I got the money, I ordered 12 loads of crushed concrete on a Friday. The drivers tailboarded each load for me, and I spread it with my tractor &...

    Friends and family

My FIL donated allot of dirt to me. He lives about 2 miles from me, and we dug out his pond, making it bigger, so I could have some nice red clay for a house pad, and to finish my driveway. I made 60 some-odd trips over there to get all the dirt in a borrowed 8 yard truck. When I got the...

The strips are usually as long as the tin is wide (36" for my R-Panel.) So its takes one closure strip per piece of tin.

    Sealing against metal walls

There are 2 kinds of closure strips, inside & outside. One is meant to go on the top of the sheet where it mates to some kind of flashing, and the other goes underneath the sheet where it fastens to your purlin. Also, closure strips are meant to be laid down before you fasten the sheet down...

What's the secret to backing up a trailer?

If you are having trouble, then by all means stick your head out the window and look back there. That is how I learned. Still do it too. The mirrors will confuse you as to which direction you are actually going.

    work in garage vs wife

Proverbs 21:9 (KJV) It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house. I have been married to my best friend for 5 years, and we have been together for 9. She is better than I deserve, that is for sure. We have one on the way, and life is...
