Very cool. We just got back from Hot August nights in Reno, it was fun. The really high end show cars didn't show this year, unless they were in a different place than last time.

Wonder if that belt was meant for a different pully. Mabey the pitch of the sides or the width is slightly smaller.

    1961 F100 4WD project

Painting can be such a *****. It's such a feel thing and if you don't do it all the time with the same materials it's tough to get a good result. Temp has a big effect too. I've usually been able to fix a not great clear coat with a color sand and buff but if the metallic isn't sprayed super...

I had a caliper bolt come loose on my v8 miata build. I could only back up, I had to back down the street a couple blocks to find a place to pull over. Was able to get a bolt at a hardware store to get me home.

" And it went on for 30 minutes. After the conversation was over I found not a single thing his shop did? Every single question I asked it was all farmed out. From the transmission, engine, fuel system and everything in between. Nice car no doubt but Builder of the Year Award?" Most show car...

I've been lurking on here for a couple years watching your progress and struggles with your project. Congratulations on a fantastic truck, what an accomplishment it is. Please don't sell it. As beautiful as it its it still should be driven. Enjoy! I can relate in a small way having built a ford...

How do you cut steel in your shop

I recently tried a Diablo 36 tooth wood and meatal carbide blade for my regular circular saw. I worked beautifully for cutting some 18 guage sheet metal, so much cleaner and faster that using the 4.5 inch angle grinder. It's only 21 bucks for the blade at home depot too.
