    1/4 dr. wobble only extentions

Snap-On wobbles are great. I have the 1/4 and 3/8. They get used fairly regularly. I have snapped the head off of one of my 1/4 extensions. It was being used in a situation that warranted a larger drive size though.

Found Out Something that I didn't know

At least yours isnt a 2012 Ram diesel in which the dipstick is slightly too long and rubs a hole in the bottom of the oil pan! My dipstick tip was polished up pretty good from rubbing, just cut that sucker off. A lot of new vehicles have electronic sensors for oil level. Most also have a port...

I forgot this one in my last post somehow. Was a grab earlier this year, just havent been on GJ much. Snap-on 3/8" Techangle torque wrench. Dealer cut me a sweet deal on it as it sat on promo on his truck for awhile. I'll buy more, thats for sure.

    T Handle or Screwdriver Torx?

Both. I use the screwdrivers a lot, but ran into instances where the torque on the T-handle would be nice and I feel I get much better engagement with T-handles vs sockets so I got the T-Handle Torx as well. Like you said, some areas require the thin shank of the driver to get into and most...

Oscillating multi-tools -- what do you actually use it for?

I have the HF Bauer oscillating tool. I bought it for undercutting door jambs while laying LVP. I have since used it for various projects. Its a useful tool. I dont use it a ton, but its one of those tools that can really come in handy. The Bauer tool gets pretty hot and will numb your...

Man I still have that set! I just threw out the blow molded case when we moved, but all the parts and pieces are in various tool boxes still! I fixed a lot of stuff with those tools.

Rigging boats theres enough fun stuff to snag your hand on running it down the gunnels, namely fiberglass and screw tips poking through. This will at least eliminate one item! I used to do the same, cut em all off and redo them when I was done haha! Will do. They're spring loaded which is...

A few of my recent grabs. Snap-on Cabinet Screwdrivers. Needed to replace my old USA craftsman long drivers that are chipped and failing. Snap-On precision pliers set. Been eyeing these for awhile now. Run into many occasions they would have made life easier so finally pulled the trigger and...

    The screwdriver debate settled?

How can one do a "best screwdriver set" and not include Snap-On? They make the best I've ever personally used to the point I will not buy or use anything else.

What year Q7? We just got a 2012 (not exactly newer) and I'm slowly finding out what specialty sockets I need to work on the thing. Also planning on picking up a B8.5 S4 relatively soon so want to be prepared!

    4th Quarter Napa Real deals.

Picked the flier up last weekend. I couldnt find anything I had to have at the prices advertised. Gone are the days of the good Carlyle deals it seems.

    Boats and Tools

Spark plug socket and spare plugs. A fouled plug can end your day in a hurry. Screwdrivers, pliers, an adjustable wrench, wire strippers, **** connectors, a length of wire (10-20ft of 16-18ga), cheapy multi meter, a 3/8 metric socket set, a good knife, electrical tape, zip ties, jumper cables...

Noco. I got one of their chargers on sale via Woot a few years ago and it is very nice. Has revived many a fully dead battery in its repair mode. https://no.co/products/charging/genius

    Torque wrench recommendation?

Buy once cry once? Snap-On TechAngle. I recently got into a situation where I needed some low torque numbers, 15-25lbs stuff and just didnt trust my cheapo HF 3/8" to do the job. Grabbed this TechAngle and havent looked back. Great features like digital readout, multiple units of measure...

School me on hex tools and torx tools. Help me wade through the options

I use the Snap-On T handles all the time. I find they're my most used Hex tool honestly. I also use bits at times as well as bit sockets. A 6mm long bit socket was the best way to remove the oil drain plug from my wifes Audi Q7. I have the long bit sockets in standard and ball from Snap-On...

The Napa Auto Parts Website is Frustrating

Napa online is horrendous and our local store is not much better. I havent been able to get any of the "Real Deals" in the ad that arent in stock at the store as they seemingly cannot obtain them. I gave up on Carlyle tools because of this.

    Is Tekton dumb or not?

The whole reasoning behind have a 6pt wrench I gather from most posters here is contact. The 6 point grips rusty and worn fasteners better as theres more contact on the bolt head. Here comes the conundrum, usually those fasteners require quite a bit of break way power to get them moving...
