    Roof underlayment- old school tar paper or new stuff? Does it really matter?

    40 years ago I shingled the house I was living in. We were careful tearing off the old shingles, and the tar paper stayed on the roof nicely. We shingled over it with no problems.

    Recognize the brand of this copper hammer?

    I can't quite read the brand of this copper hammer, anyone know what it says? The handle says Hol-O-Hed. The hammer weighs a little under 3 pounds.

    I picked up these two threaders at a sale the other day, most of the tools were from the 40's and 50's. The larger one is a LL-3123, and seems to be 5/16nc thread, a 5/16 nut does thread on. The smaller one is LL-2503, and I thought it looked like 1/4nc, but a 1/4 nut is a tiny bit too small to...

    Trying to find out what this tool bag held. I saw one on ebay and one on Piclick, but no info about them. There is a piece of spring steel sown into the seam that is about 13" long. Wondering if anybody knows what thsi kit held, and approximate age.

    Years ago, everybody I knew carried one in their trunk. But now, they don't seem to fit the lugs on alloy wheels. Mostly because the socket end won't fit into the lugnut recess.
