Did you remove the innards before you soldered it? If not, the heat may have damaged the rubber parts.

    Mower won’t start hot

I would check the valve lash. When it warms up, the lash could close up enough to hold a valve slightly open.

    For the want of a nail . . . err. screw. . .

Is the screw brass? Magnets won't work on that. You might need someone with a metal detector to find it.

    Found Tools

Years ago I bought a F-150. A week or so later I was putting new plugs in it, and found a Snap On 1/4" flex head ratchet laying behind the carb, on top of the intake manifold.

    The Rise of 1/4" Drive

Growing up in the '60's, my Dad only had a 1/2" drive set. It was really old, you had to pop out the square drive and put it in from the other side to reverse the ratchet. Keeping Mice Out Of My Drill Press....???

I don't use poison, but mix up half flour and half plaster of paris in a little dish. The critters eat it and die. If an animal eats the dead mouse, it will cause no harm.

What is this old Mac Tool?

On the shaft it has KE6, and there may be something else after the 6, can't tell for sure. The socket is 1/2" and has KU166SJ-1. The hex end is 7/16". I looked through the old catalogs online, but could not find this tool.

Sears 1/2 drive air Impact wrench

Most of the ones I have seen have "oil" stamped into the housing next to the oil port. I think many people just give a squirt of oil into the air fitting before plugging in the hose. Various companies make air tool oil.
