Texaco Station Renovation - Moving In

Wow, awesome progress! That Marvin door is a really classy looking setup.

Below 265 SQ/FT "you should knock it down" single car garage rescue

The bars turned out nice! They actually give a bit of an old single pane factory window feel which is a nice effect.

Who has Flat Black Tool Box? Was going to buy HF 72" but this deal came up.

If there are any places local to you that do vinyl wrap on cars, vans, etc. they could probably wrap the box in any color of vinyl you want if the flat black proves to be hard to keep clean. I personally think it would suffer from greasy fingerprints constantly, I realize a tool box isn't a show...

    OneTIMES Tool Equal Space Divider

I always love seeing the new tools they come out with, but have yet to buy a single one of them. Their pricing is always beyond what I can justify.

    Texas Service Station - Build

VOH any new updates to show? It's been a couple years since the last update in this thread so I know you have to have been up to something inside that shop! We need more than just that one teaser pic, haha.

Above 1200 Sq/FT Swiss Garage / Workshop / House Build

Very exciting! If your wife hadn't been in that picture I think I would have totally missed the size of that hole, that is a good size excavation! So excited that this project is moving forward after the rocky start!

    Big vise build

Oh I know, that's what is so incredible about this project. An 8" vise is considered huge in most settings, and this one definitely dwarfs one. I remember seeing a vise with 10" jaws in person and thought it was pretty crazy, I could only imagine what this one looks like in the flesh. I'm sure...

Texaco Station Renovation - Moving In

Looking great! I think that width of siding is a good fit scale-wise for the building. And it's pretty remarkable how well the spacing from the corner of the building to the window worked out with the siding panel width, can't complain about that one bit. Very nice added detail with that angled...

    Big vise build

I'm utterly floored at the level of quality and skill on show in this project. That name plate really is the cherry on top. This definitely reminds me of the old photos I've seen of the enormous vises in railway maintenance shops, but a much more refined and beautiful design.

Wood look porcelain tile garage floor

Absolutely love this! I am definitely mental-bookmarking this idea. I'd love to use it in my basement wood shop as well.

Texaco Station Renovation - Moving In

I don't think the scale of the new construction looks bad at all. The shed roof rather than flat roof adds some extra interest and character. I'm sure once the building is sided and has other structures to break up the surface area of the side with the sliding doors, it will look smaller in...

It's great to see that you are finally getting to move forward with this project! I'll be eagerly following this thread, such an interesting design.

Anything new at the station Bad67300? One of my favorite projects on here, hope everything is going well.

Swedish workshop in a old brewery

That's one hell of a porch! Looks very similar to the one you built for your house. Definitely transformed the look of his house. Before it was definitely lacking character, now it has something interesting going on.

    New Craftsman 103.22450

I will check tonight and see if the packages say the country of manufacture. I haven't gotten to the point of installing them but I did remove the old ones from the arbor shaft, you're correct they are pressed on. There are two internal retaining rings inside the arbor casting that have to be...

    New Craftsman 103.22450

Congrats! I have a 103.27270, which is just an earlier model year of your saw I believe. I bought new bearings for mine on eBay. I don't know for sure (but maybe someone else on here can shed some light), but if the bearings are the same size I got bearings for mine for $25, here's the link...

    Bolt bin vs drawer storage

I personally prefer drawers, especially if it's a setup where you can slide in dividers with labels. A nice plus is you don't end up with hardware caked in dust.

    My Lista / Vidmar Build...

Subscribed for sure! I absolutely love the route you chose for the top. I can't even explain how jealous I am of all those cabinets. Every time I see Listas/Vidmars on CL or eBay I always sigh and hope someday I can score a reasonable deal on some.
