If there are any places local to you that do vinyl wrap on cars, vans, etc. they could probably wrap the box in any color of vinyl you want if the flat black proves to be hard to keep clean. I'm utterly floored at the level of quality and skill on show in this project. That name plate really is the cherry on top. This definitely reminds me of the old photos I've seen of the enormous vises in railway maintenance shops, but a much more refined and beautiful design.

Congrats! I have a 103.27270, which is just an earlier model year of your saw I believe. I bought new bearings for mine on eBay. I don't know for sure (but maybe someone else on here can shed some light), but if the bearings are the same size I got bearings for mine for $25, here's the link...

I personally prefer drawers, especially if it's a setup where you can slide in dividers with labels. A nice plus is you don't end up with hardware caked in dust.

Subscribed for sure! I absolutely love the route you chose for the top. I can't even explain how jealous I am of all those cabinets. Every time I see Listas/Vidmars on CL or eBay I always sigh and hope someday I can score a reasonable deal on some.
