Anyone build a mobile mitresaw stand

Yes. My shop miter saw (dewalt dws782) has wheels. I built a 3 drawer cabinet. Added some wheels for a rolling base. Added some fold down wings. The fold down wings do not have a back fence, just a flat surface. It isn't over engineered. Pretty simple really. Works good for my needs. I also...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

I expect you likely have a solution with the material right there in the corner or on the floor. If you have a wood lathe you could maybe turn the rolling pin, that is sitting next to the other box, down a bit for something creative. A couple angle brackets or cut pieces of angle iron, some all...

Let's Hear it for the Old Gray/Red Sears Craftsman Tool Chests and Cabinets (60s/70s)

Agree. That rolling base is likely home built. I would be pleased to have a well built rolling base like that. Looks like you scored a nice stack there especially since it includes that middle section.

    Craftsman King seeley 150 question

I have brought a handful of those drill presses home. None of my 150s/15 Inch presses have a cap on top. One of the two 13" presses i brought home has a cap. I don't know if they were included with all presses but, one out of five indicates to me they were likely to get lost. As to top and...

Anyone went from Red to Yellow and regretted it?

I occasionally watch torque test channel. I expect many here do. These tool brands are constantly leap-frogging each other. What work are you doing that makes the Milwaukee offering inferior to the Dewalt offering? What Dewalt impacts are you looking at? What are you chasing?

Paint color for Sears cabinet saw

Isn't that more of a silver on those saws? I doubt you will find an exact match. Hammered grey might make a good alternative.

Offset? Do you mean the plane from the bolt plate to centerline of the shaft? Or, a measurement frome some point on the mount plate to the end of the shaft? Remember, your current motor case is likely a larger OD than current offerings. Much of that can be compensated for through where you...

    Craftsman cabinet saw 103.27270 indecision

No modifications needed. It bolted right up to the existing mount exactly like the previous motor. The double pulley fit the shaft as well. At least that is my memory of it. If I take an image, what exactly are you looking for? What is it that you need to see?

Help ID my old Craftsman drill press....By the way, this press works just fine! Located in North FLORIDA

Old shop tools/machines can certainly be usable BUT they aren't for everyone. I like them. I am 68 years and have and use a few shop tools that are as old or older than I am that I went through and put in service. I get a bit of satisfaction when I use them.

Help ID my old Craftsman drill press....By the way, this press works just fine! Located in North FLORIDA

Ideas? Sure. Accept the range as the year. Trying to find a specific year might be impossible. I will add this, something on that press is a bit confusing. The belt guard shown appears to be from the 101.03582 or at least the images from vintage machinery appear to indicte that. The base or at...
