    Hand-Stamped Framing Square, J.F. Brown $3.00

Would love to hear what anyone may know about Mr. J.F. Brown and his hand-stamped framing square. I've seen a few other tools marked as made by "J.F. Brown," and that the DAT has a "J.E." Brown (typo perhaps) from 1841, but I'd like to know more - if anyone has more. Would really like to nail...

Diamond Edge Shapleigh Hardware No. 33 Open End Wrench

My search of the net found little to no information of examples or similar open-end wrenches from DE Shapleigh. Any thoughts, directions, or information you might be able to provide? I appreciate it! Standard No. 33 U.S.S. Sizes 1/2 and 9/16 Length, 8-5/8" Weight, 14 oz

    Proto 3" C-Clamp, 403 Drop Forged Steel

Wow! What a difference a bit of white vinegar will make! This clamp was nasty-ugly when I stumbled upon it at an estate sale, but for .80¢ it was a no-brainer. Vinegar, a wire brush, and a coat of Briwax and she's downright beautiful! Size: 3" Weight: 1 lb. 15.5 oz.

Unmarked 3/8" Breaker Bar - A Plomb or Not?

What a nice, hefty breaker bar - but there are no maker's marks, etc. on this one. And from its design it appears to be the same or very similar to a Plomb. Anyone have any ideas? And I wonder if the three "gash" marks on either side, and at top and bottom (see photos 2 and 3), have any...

My First Sargent & Co. Find

The other day I picked up a hefty carpenter/framing square that needed some TLC. Brought it home and, after some WD-40 and 800 grit paper and 0000 wool, it cleaned up real nice and revealed its maker's mark and overall character. Only then did I discover I was the new owner of a 100+ year...

Broken Morgan Vises - Worth It?

I'm looking at two Morgan #30 vises, both of which have damage/broken slide sides. I've attached photos of each. The seller's asking $45 for either. Is either worth that price with this damage? I don't "need" either, I've just had my eye out for a good vise for the garage. Thanks!

    Kennedy Kit K20 Tool Box

Just picked up a Kennedy Kit K20 tool box with what appears to be the co's older decal. Any resources out there to help date the box via the decal/emblem? Any ideas from you guys? It's in really good shape and will look great once cleaned up a bit. Thanks, all! Tom
