A sealer was applied to my concrete floor when it was installed. Can I still use an epoxy finish on it? Are the preparations the same as unsealed concrete?

Do the jig-saw puzzle type connections stay nice and flat? I have concerns that some of them will stick up unless glued down at the joints. Having said that I do have nice level concrete to put them on (non car part of my garage).
