Help me design my welding table.

I picked some more freebies today. I also got a bowling ball to build the table with two rotors I saw on the site. With all the input I'm thinking of making the table 3ftx6ft. I will be putting in receivers for the two vices and also make up mounts for my grinders.

Help me design my welding table.

These are a lot of great links. I plan to sit most of the time when I weld. I am thinking of making it a bit smaller then I originally had planned.

Help me design my welding table.

I was planning for little no storage but will have to use idea for c clamp storage. I also may hang grinders under the table. I have a free standing welding cart.

Help me design my welding table.

I have saved the Ibeams shown below from the recycler. Like everyone I want to build the best most useful table I can but only want to use these for the structure. I will buy the top eventually when I come across a good deal on plate. The beams are about 8 feet long. My setup: This table...

Home Depot will match the Lowes 5% Off Offer

I've done it in a few stores in New Jersey with no issues. They have it as a standard barcode on their discount sheet.

Home Depot will match the Lowes 5% Off Offer

If you show your Lowes card at Home Depot they will match the 5% off offer. I haven't seen it posted and they don't advertise it so I thought I would post it.

    Let's See Your Garage Dog

Added another one the other week. Cant believe how well both of them get along. Two is much easier then one. All they do is hang out outside and play. The new one is the yellow lab/shepard mix, 1-2 years old and also from the south. She has so much love I cant believe people haven't wanted...

    17 x 41 Project

I've been putting some time into it. Mostly moving all my tools. I did put a new sub panel in and went overkill on the lights for the first floor. 5 8 foot t8 flouresents. I'll take some pictures tomorrow after I hopefully install my new work table.

    17 x 41 Project

Haven't made too much progress with the garage but I tossed a new sub panel in. I was scrappin today and saw this cabinet in the pile. Guy let me have it. It's pretty solid and has some nice shelves. Should go good with the vintage feel so far.

    Installing a new sub panel...

Yes ace an it is detached and nothing else is connected. Thanks for the input. Hopefully I can get to this project soon.

    Installing a new sub panel...

Stuart. There are two in and the braided wire is the neutral. The ground runs out to a ground rod. Aceman. Is the ground to the ground rods not enough? This is an overhead run and I would rather not run new wire.

    Installing a new sub panel...

I know you guys are probably sick of these posts but I just like to confirm things I'm not 100% sure on. I was looking at my sub panel and it seems like replacing it will be rather simple. It has power in, neutral, and ground. Looks like I'm set. The thing that is throwing me is the run looks...

    17 x 41 Project

The water issue is in the house not the detached garage. It seems the water is coming up from the floor. My bet is it is the retaining wall that borders it and has been packed down over the years. It seems the spigot works for now. The previous owner wasn't going to do any work and definitely...

Kevin I think I will pressure wash it. There is a small chance that I will side it to match the color of the house but I have other projects to complete first.

One of my many future projects. I think it would make a cool coffee table for the upstairs.

    17 x 41 Project

I noticed there was a drain in the floor yesterday. I'm excited to see where it goes. It would be nice to be able to wash cars inside the garage.

I also plan to turn this portion of the basement back into a garage. I am hoping to put carriage type doors on the front and then the wive can put her car in there. This will keep the other building all for me. There is a little water issue so I have a little work to do there as well.
