    I put the steel ring around the nut then put the 2 bolts in and then heated the nut then put my pipe wrench on and the 3 foot bar, the ring held on the nut and prevented the pipe wrench from marking the nut this nut was tight

    I only use steel pipe for my lines only thing I can say is to try and tighten the fittings more and I think they are a compression fitting so I dont think you need to use and pipe sealer

    something is not right it should only take 5-6 mins to fill the tank. Make sure you dont tighten the belts too much or it will wear the bearing you should have about an inch of play in the belts

    The motor you are looking at is 3450 RPM you need to find a 1725 RPM motor and that motor wont work for you look at the picture it mounts wrong that is for a pump of some sort it has a C frame mount look for a a 213 frame motor.

    I have a used 3 phase motor and I cant even give it away so if you have a buyer for the motor for 200.00 then it might be a good deal. How is the pump and the tank ? That is a good sized pump so I dont think a 5 HP would be big enough I think you would need a 7.5 HP for it but it may work on 5...
