I picked up this set at local pawn shop for 50 out the door.https://www.grainger.com/product/WESTWARD-Standard-4YR25?functionCode=P2IDP2PCP
Seems to be fair quality, but in a convenient to use case for field use. What say you, friends?
As a wrecker operater in ny it is often your tools get wet in snow and whatever the state decided this is the chemical of the year for snow removal. Put them back in the truck dry them of at night do again next day.
a coworker had the aircat till it broke the drive off in a socket. Sheared just twisted it off. Nice flat break. So they got too much *** if you will for there own good.
I have a the current husky wrench sets metric and sae in each of my to go.boxes in the trucks.they hold up well . I have taken them on the rd professionaly when I have to slip seat into someone elses wrecker.
Anyone think the name and rights may sell cheap enuff that a lowes or home depot may buy them and not produce anything under the craftsman brand or name to cut out competition.
Not an expert but my tech 1000 has held up well a bought it used and used it full time wrench turning for 6 years .it now sits in moms garage 400 miles away collecting dust.
They have two size handle lenghts. And two different diamaiters . They flex but I have never broken it. I have put it on a wheel lug nut and drove the truck forward onto the bar to break the nut loose.
i would suggest looking at the pwz1 or pwz2 from snap-on . these have all but replaced pipe wrenches at work . the only reason i have a 10 inch rigid pipe wrench is it was picked up of the road.
