    HF ladder

I was watch qvc or something, they had a 17' little giant type ladder that had wheels to help move it around. What a great idea, I have the hf knock off, seems to be pretty durable but heavy. Anyone add wheels to one of these multi ladders?

Anyone get new HF ratchet rebuilt?

I have the long 3/8 flex, I stripped the loosening pawl. I know everybody will say just exchange it out but I fixed the floppy head on mine, I don't want to have to do that every time I get another one. I used this ratchet daily since getting it in January, I mainly use it to check t-cases &...

    adding a 3/8 square drive

I have this oil filter socket that I'd like to add a 3/8 square hole to, its aluminum & the wrench size is 24mm. I was thinking of filing the flats down to just above a 7/8 socket, so it would an interference fit. Put the smaller socket in the oven & the bigger one in the fridge. Then putting...

I want to get a m12 ratchet in 1/4 & 3/8 drive, my 1st gen IR ratchet is dying. Has anyone found a good deal on start getting M12 tools. I've had luck with the local Home Depot using HF20% off coupons.

Fix a tool on the first day.

Anyone have a story about fixing up a shop's tool or equipment to make it usable, right after you started working there? I started at a shop & their wheel weight pliers were useless in removing weights. They were like "what are you doing" as I put it in a vise sharpened the teeth with a file. It...

Anyone have this small Craftsman set?

I've had this Craftsman set (34060) for awhile & keep it in the car, I like it because it takes up such little room because it's flat. I keep adding other tools to the box & it is crammed full. So I was at Walmart today looking for something to put it in & found an aluminum box clipboard, it...

I used to live in Mi. and we would go to meijers for everything, they were the super walmart before walmart came around. They had a good selection of tools like channel locks, visegrips , & cresent. I went back to Mi. for a visit in October & I see they carry Tekton tools now. Some of it pretty...

    CP717 air hammer kit

My boss got the shop this kick *** air hammer for tough jobs like knocking wheel bearings loose, I'll tell you what it really knocks 'em out fast. I was changing a front bearing on a 4x4 Silverado & used this air hammer on just one loosened bolt (others were all out) with the hammer bit that...

    Phone booth box?

I found this little box at the Restore store, it measures about 5.5"X3.5"X1.75" & has these "out of service" stickers all over. Its a pretty heave gauge box. It has 2 knock out plugs for something. I might make it into a tool box or to hold survival gear, like an altoids tin.

    What's that new Mac scanner?

I was busy yesterday when the Mac guy stopped by, he had a new generic scanner that shows live data & clears most maint. lights on domestic, euro, & Asian cars. I think he said it was around $200 plus free updates. Do you guys have any more info on it? Was it the CReader 7?

King Tony 4611Q 1/2 mini impact review

I got this nearly 2 weeks ago, I've been using it daily. So I thought I'd do a little review. It's not a full composite body, I think the hammer case is steel & the body is aluminum, the handle is rubberized. The exhaust blows out the handle. First, this thing is tiny. I did some leaf spring...

    Tools on your oil drainers

What kind of tools do you guys keep on your oil drainers? I just keep 4 oil filter strap wrenches, 1 large filter cup, a form-a-funnel, & a grease gun. I've been thinking of getting a couple 6 pt wrenches, a plug magnet driver, & filter pliers to hang on it .

    Life expectancy of cordless tools

I use my tools daily in an auto garage, I've had the cordless IR 1/4 ratchet for around 6-7 years. I bought the better of the two batteries then, but now I'm going on my 3rd ratchet. What it does is it turns slow, smokes a little, then it frees up & acts normal. Then one day it would do...

    Snap-On P/S pulley pullers

Have you guys had any trouble pulling p/s pulleys on GM (10-15 yrs old). I had to change a pulley on a 99 Cavalier & the small one was too small, the big one kept cocking. I talked to the dearer about this & he said that's all that they make. I had to borrow a Lisle set to get it pulled. I'm...

King Tony M7 or Klutch impacts

I found 1 post about the M7 on here, a bunch of guys said they were ordering them. Anyone have an opinion on them yet? Are the more compact then the Klutch impact? The only measurements I found was the stem to stern measurement, 4 9/16" for the M7 & 4 7/8" for the Klutch. They rate the M7...
