    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

Its been a month and between the snow, rain and wind progress was very slow. However, with the arrival of spring things are beginning to move again. These pics from April 4th. The last picture is a shot from upstairs from the garage looking at the house.

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

For those of who you have built garages with multiple bays. Holy Moses! The cost of the doors hurts. Looking at 2" insulated steel sandwich doors. One or two sounds affordable but when you take it times 4 the numbers grow exponentially. Just sounding off to make myself feel better about...

ghnl, Your pics looks good. Do you have one with an inside view looking through the dormer? This would be helpful.

    Dormer placement

I drew my own plans and now I am questioning where I put the dormers. Maybe someone here can confirm I'm not crazy. I have attached a picture as an example and my question is.... Is there a normal location where the double header begins up the roof? I have seen many times where the dormer is...

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

I'm actually pleased with the progress considering the weather that we have had this winter. It's always nice when you can see the changes every day but I know once its in the dry, things will slow down again.

    Asphalt Costs

I had a 1/4 mile driveway with rock for about 10 years. 3 years ago I took the plunge and wrote the check for asphalt. Although, it seemed expensive, I would say its better than buying a toy. It is so nice for your cars to be clean and not turn into a rattle trap in a few years. Spend the...

I am going to put a portable scissor lift in. Nothing heavy duty. So the pex should be safe. Pour was 6 inches thick.

We had a break in the weather and was able to pour the slab today. Looks like another round of cold due in later in the week. Glad we were able to get the pour in.

    extruded polystyrene question

This is my first experience with Radiant heat and for my contract as well. Thanks for answering my previous questions. Here is another one. I am building on a grade with will leave a 3 to 4 foot stem wall exposed on a good portion of the garage. Is there any benefit to extend the...
