    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

No issues. The pond has a wide overflow that dumps into an adjacent pond which overflows into a dry creek bed. It's been there 10 years and proven not to have an issue.

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

Thinking about a deck but have one on the house so probably will pass. The water in the back is a private pond or tank as some of you might call it. It's about 2 acres in size.

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

Great question. I have put two windows on the back wall and one just in front of the stairs on the side wall. My entry door will have glass on the top as well. I thinking this will provide enough natural light to avoid the cave look.

Concrete soon to pour. Need advise

Great ideas thus far. I am wondering how many of you out here with radiant heat didn't put any insulation in the overhead door area? and has it caused a problem. Or better yet, if you did how did you install?

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

Yes but I left enough room to get up the stairs with furniture and appliances. The first three steps will be open then there will be a wall on both sides of the stairs. This helps keep the costs down and somewhat hides the stairs as well.

    60' X 30' Garage Broke Ground

When I started I thought I would just rough it in for living quarters. As time progresses I think I will just go ahead and finish it and use it as a guest quarters or an in law hang out. Hope I do the picture justice. This project going to take a while for sure.

Concrete soon to pour. Need advise

Soon to start pouring the footings and stem walls for the 60'X30' garage project. For every question I get answered here I come up with two new ones. This site is great. 1. Since I am putting radiant heat in the floor... is my assumption correct that the insulation between the stem wall and...

We installed this in our aviation shop. Looks great, very easy to install and expensive. We have 27,000 sq feet so made sense for us. If you have the $$$$ well worth it.

    Another scissor lift question

Great options and nice garage! Since I'm not sure about if I will every buy one, I'm leaning toward pouring the drop and not worrying about it if I use one. I am due to start on Saturday. Stump removals and getting things ready for Footings. I will post pictures in the gallery as I have used...
