    Hanging out in the garage

I have a small tv in the garage I keep on for background noise. But I don't have stools or comfy chairs. My garage is a working garage. Couches bars and whatnot would just take up valuable real estate I could use for tools or projects. Nothing wrong with having a garage you can lounge in, I'd...

    Motorcycle Garages Only

Mines a brand I've never heard of, and haven't seen again, and I don't remember. But it was made in Italy in the 50's. Bought it from a motorcycle dealer I used to work for that opend in the 20's. The Harbor Freight lifts are nice for the money, but I don't think I'd buy one for a big heavy...

    Motorcycle Garages Only

I like it a lot. It's fun to ride and I love to just sit and look at it. But Ducati ownership takes some getting used to. They're more finicky than a Japanese bike. But worth it to me.

    anybodies boss HATE tool trucks?

The trucks aren't what managers dislike. It's the techs all heading out to the truck and shopping. You tell the tool guy what you need, he brings it in. I've never met a tool guy that doesn't deliver right to the tech's station. Theres really no reason to go out to the truck. If you want to...

    "Harry Homeowner" Tools

Toolbox. Something he can fill with his own tools as he finds what he needs. Not a big cabinet box or anything just a starter box. Something like this Also, anytime I start a project in the house, it seems I need my cordless drill, cordless impact or cordless circ saw. If I was just starting...

    Dream Christmas gift?

I wouldn't mind a TIG welder. And I hope those of you with more pressing needs get fixed up.

    My garage "HQ"

Thanks. I have 7 total right now. The ones you see there, plus a few that are tore apart, plus a dual sport and another scooter in another garage. But I've worked in the motorcycle industry in one way or another for most of my adult life, so they have a way of accumulating. The red one is...

    iPhone code scanner

The iPhone is a more powerful piece of hardware than a typical hand held scanner. It looked to me like you were able to access more info with the iPhone that you could with a scanner. That's why I was hoping someone here had tried one.

    iPhone code scanner

It was $100. I realized it was just a cord, but the price was good. As for buying it from Walmart, why not? It's just a cord, it's not like it's a tool I rely on every day.

    iPhone code scanner

So I'm walking through Wally World the other day, and they're selling a kit that you plug into you iPhone, that you can plug into your car and pull codes. Has anyone tried it? How well does it work?

    My garage "HQ"

I'll post updates. I have to finish the CB350 first. The RZ is a Canadian model I got in near perfect shape. Rode it for a few years then tore it down for a restore. It's been waiting quite a while for me to get back to it. Now that I have more space it will get done. I like the 1098 too. It...

    Lift buying

I love your lift Jack, I only wish it could work for me. Unfortunately, I'd be lifting anything from a C6 vette, to a F150, to a Honda Fit. I need mor versatility.

    My garage "HQ"

Thanks for the compliments gents. It's a fine work space, but I need to get it better organized. I don't feel I'm taking full advantage of the space now. It's one of those things where the more you work in it, the more you get it tailored to your needs.

    Garage toilet

I actually saw that gizmo Shadow, but I don't think I could put it in to practice, not in a garage anyhow. Maybe for a quick wash in a powder room, but for rinsing fast orange and filth off off my grimy mitts I don't see that trickle happening. Plus, I'm not sure I want all that gritty grimy...

    My garage "HQ"

Thanks. It nice to have an upstairs. If I ever move again, and I build my own shop, I'd never build it without an upstairs office space. It's nice to have a place where I can work on my stuff and not mess up the house. I'd like to change the decor up here though. The lady who lived here before...

    Motorcycle jack

Good call. They're price is high, but they're quality and support is second to now. I have 5 or 6 different Pitbulls. Excellent hardware. But you may have trouble using it with the 350F, there isn't really any flat areas under the bike for that type of life to get a purchase on. May take some...

    My garage "HQ"

I don't really have a proper name for my garage, and compared to some of yours, it's just a hole. But I've been here for a while lurking and leeching knowledge, and I know how you guys like pictures, so I figured I'd contribute. I call it HQ because, it's the headquarters of my side business...

    Garage toilet

Since there's a heating and AC section, but not a plumbing section, I figured I'd post this here. So I'm in the midst of planning for a much needed garage bathroom. Space is tight in the intended area, so I got this crazy idea. I should seek out one of those stainless steel sink toilet combo...

    Lift buying

The 2 post I was looking at was the Max Jax thing where you can unbolt the posts and move them out of the way. Space is at a premium in my shop, so that feature is attractive. I would use it to store one car on so I can park another under it. Although, if I could park about 5 motorcycles on it...
